Lunix (loon-ix)- A Lunix is a beautiful seabird that is a mix between an ice phoenix and a puffin. They have long tail feathers and head feathers that can range from few to many and short to long. They have crystals embedded in their tail feathers and foreheads that add to their glamour. They are a rather small seabird; the tallest they can get is maybe eleven inches, similar to their puffin ancestors. Unlike the puffins though, they are slimmer and weigh less. Lunixes normally mate for life and can only produce one egg with their mates. The egg is made of ice the couple gathers. It's very uncommon, but it's possible for Lunixes to switch mates.
Their habitat is normally the North Atlantic just like puffins, but they have been found as far as the Alaskan and the eastern Russian coasts. Lunixes have a mystical quality about them and many legends tell the story of these strange birds.

Like most species, go to the Lunix you want, follow the artist's rules, try out for one, etc. Most will be like a little competition. If you don't win, keep trying!

Quick Guide to Crystal Colors!
{This is NOT final.}
Note: Artists, keep this guide in mind while designing your Lunixes.

Basic Colors

Blue -Blue crystals are the MOST common. They range from light to dark. Lunixes with lighter blue crystals normally live up in the Arctic, while ones with darker blue crystals are found anywhere.

Green -Green crystals are the second most common. They are normally aquaish, but not all of them. Lunixes with these prefer to live on land, rather than water. They also like Greenland...

Purple -Purple crystals are third common, but are kind of uncommon. These guys live near mountainous rivers and streams rather than the ocean. Purple crystalled Lunixes are the most personal.

Uncommon Colors:

Red -Red crystals are uncommon. These Lunixes can be found anywhere, and they are normally the most vigorous.

Orange -Orange crystals are just as uncommon as red ones. The most orange crystalled Lunixes have been found on unsettled Scottish islands.

Rare Colors:

Yellow -Yellow is the most common rare color. Lunixes with yellow crystals are the loudest ones.

Double Toned -It's hard to find Lunixes with two colors in their crystals. Commonly, double toned crystals are normal crystals turning to black.

White/Clear -Lunixes with white or clear crystals are almost very rare. They are normally the quietest Lunixes.

Very Rare Colors:

Black -Lunixes with black crystals are so rare that it's almost impossible to find more than one if you have seen one before. Lunixes who have black crystals are almost never born with them. It's normally a change from corruption. Black crystalled Lunixes are pretty much always corrupt in some kind of way.

Triple Toned -It's even harder to find Lunixes with three colors in their crystals than with two.

Rainbow -The rarest type of crystal. It's almost impossible to find a Lunix with rainbow crystals.
