I don't know if I would really call it a technique, since I usually just mess around with different brushes until I have made something decent x3

I have a weird habit of picking two animals and mashing them together... usually they are part lion for some odd reason.
Pfft I was trying to memorize something for my psych test, and the word 'equilibrium' just popped out at me while I was drawing this cutie <3
