Yeah. I was just listening to music and suddenly got this intense desire to draw. So I opened the oekaki and just stared at it for a second, like, what to draw? Then I realized the song that was playing was 'In The End'. After another second I realized it matched Parsleywave, one of my charries. I really like him. He's the quiet, uncertain and not very brave tom who is the first of the Hexclan cats to realize what a clan means, when Hex nearly destroys them.
When Hex went on her final attack, crippling the clan, almost everyone, even Skybird, Lime, Stowaway and Flashstream, felt shocked and horrified, immediately abandoning the idea of a clan. Skybird and Flashstream felt crushed with failure, while Luna, Lime and the others, disillusioned, fled in dismay.
Parsleywave was the only one who truly felt a warrior and stood up to Hex, thus fulfilling the part of the prophecy, 'A betrayed wave alone will rise'. Despite being outfought and outskilled, grievously wounded, he fought on until Hecate arrived. Hecate took up the fight and defeated Hex. In the end, Hecate did not kill Hex, but the triad of witches, Rustic, Cartouche and Lanterne, summoned a storm, and, in final irony to Hex's ridicule and hatred of the witches' power, prayed for the lightning strike that fell the dark shecat. Once Hecate became Hexestar, she made Parsleywave her deputy.
What a lovely story.
(Is there too much blood? I can remove it if necessary.)
