I never realized how pretty quails are until I attempted to draw this one. They have such beautiful colors! Whenever I see them I just tend to laugh at their funny little run, and their cute little hair-dos. But they truly are beautiful... and difficult to draw. XD

I use an airbrush for virtually everything, I just vary the opacity for the various details. What do you typically use for a main tool? I've always been curious.

pencil tool on 128 opacity at like size 2 is amazing
or pen tool at a low opacity like 60 on size 9-18 is freakin awesome
spray paint tool is my 2nd most used

Good to know... I need to start using a pencil or pen tool more. XD I love the airbrush way too much! I really like it for details like fur and feathers that need to look softer. If I were to draw sharper objects I would definitely prefer the pencil or pen.

Thanks so much! That means so much to me! I feel like I am improving a lot... I've found that pictures like this come much more easily now. The head is my favorite part of that picture as well. ^^
