What is a Mutato?
In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature,
radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Name of the Mutato ::
Polaris.

Reason for choosing the name ::
This name was given to him after the technical name for the North Star.
His pelt just gives me the feeling that he'd be an astronomer, or even just
some average day goer who would love the stars.
And the tail pattern he has almost looks like coldness, or something having
to do with the Artic, which somehow reminded me of 'Polar'. Though,
ultimately, Polaris is the perfect name for him, it's almost as if it was given
to him knowing he would love the stars. Also adding onto the fact that one
of his favorite stars is Polaris.

Describe something you love about nature ::
I can't pick just one reason. . .The phrase nature can be bent in so many ways
and ideas, it's hard to know what aspect of it I love more than another. But, if
I were to pick maybe an aspect that can be used over all of the phrase 'nature'
I would need to understand exactly what that means.

Formal Definition;
the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the
landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans
or human creations.

My Understanding Definition;
The way we breath, the way the sky changes through the day, the animals that
make their homes here; the very essence of freedom and beauty.

Though there could be less cheesy definitions, this is the one I think fits the word
best, and most efficiently. . .
Now knowing the definition, I'd like to actually tell you what I like most about it.

I love the fact of how unpredictable it is. It's so beautiful it hurts, and we can't put
a reason to it, because we just can't understand it all. I love the way we haven't
explored and understood all of space yet, I love the way we don't exactly know
anything for sure; how it's all a guessing game.

I am currently obsessed with chicken smoothie. No, not the pets-- the art, of course! I love ALL art, JMD's, Mutato's, Kitkins, you name it! I have never actually *cough* won a Mutato, JMD, or anything like that before, But I hope to soon <3 It is fun to make the forms, anyway! I am hoping to FINALLY win my first mutato, while other people are earning their 5th.

I would name this mutato star, of course because of the body.

Star, wonderful name, no? Hey-- It MAY be unoriginal, but the first thing I loved about this mutato the first time I laid eyes on it, was the shooting star. And I think star fits it nicely! I've never ever in my life have had a Character or piece of art that had the name Star. No, never have a tried to enter Star as the name of a JMD, neither for a mutato.

Love in Nature
Well, Star likes to sit out at night and well-- Watch the stars! She lives up in the clouds, and mostly sleeps during day, but also sometimes stays up at day, you know how adventurous star can be! She controls the shooting stars and the rise and fall of moon and stars, too.

~Reason why I chose the name//
I choose the name Mizuki because it means beautiful moon. not only that but it rolls of the tongue nicely. I wanted it to be a Japanese name because the symbol on top reminds me of a character in an anime named Homura, I could of chosen that but I wanted her to be even more unique.

~Something I love about nature//
I like to watch the sunrise after camping at the beach. The beautiful sunrise where you can see the moon with its cresent pointing towards the sun. and the fog rolling in along the edges of the bay shining in variations of colors around the horizon, and the stars taking their last shine in the calm night.
