Cher-Last of Me wrote:Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there's just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I'll get up again
Don't count me out just yet
I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me
You haven't seen the last of me
They can say that
I won't stay around
But I'm gonna stand my ground
You're not gonna stop me
You don't know me
You don't know who I am
Don't count me out so fast
I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me
There will be no fade out
This is not the end
I'm down now
But I'll be standing tall again
Times are hard but
I was built tough
I'm gonna show you all what I'm made of
I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed right past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
I am far from over
You haven't seen the last of me
No no
I'm not going nowhere
I'm staying right here
Oh no
You won't see me fade out
I'm not taking my bow
Can't stop me
It's not the end
You haven't seen the last of me
Oh no
You haven't seen the last of me
You haven't seen the last of me
Three months trapped here against her will. Aspen shook with fear, scars along her body, and her once-silken cloak was now tattered. They allowed her to keep the star emblem around her neck, to remind her that she had so horribly failed. One point has long been dented in, another snapped off entirely in her anger as she threw it against the wall, the doors, any attempt to escape. Now, in the frigid winter air that escaped in through the crack in the door, Aspen shivered and pulled it tighter. "Don't count me out just yet." She whispered to herself, not allowing herself to fall.
It had to be near Hearth's Warming Eve by now. Was she in anyone's prayers? Or... did they think she was dead? With a shaking hoof she drew a wreath in the dust on the bottom of her cell, and gently unclipped her star, placing it at the base. "Happy Hearth's Warming Eve, Dagg." She whispered upwards. With those words, she closed her caramel eyes and pulled the tattered cloak over as much as her thin body as possible. "We'll make it."
Wow, all the feels art from me, today. ^^;
Working out Aspen's past slowly.
She fought tooth and nail alongside her brother during a battle against a fierce rouge group attempting to dethrone Celestia and Luna. Her brother took a fatal hit, and lay dying as his sister cradled his head, with him until he died. He was ripped from her arms and taken prisoner, captured and remaining in a small cell while being interrogated for information on what they could use to bring down the empire of the two sisters. 3 months, winter has hit, and she's feeling it's bitter sting as she thinks of Hearth's Warming Eve alone. </3
