× The New Age has begun. The Hive is in control...

The year is 964. That is, 964 years since The Virus spread throughout humanity, killing billions, making people drop like flies. It began in America. Of course it began in America. Spread to England, Africa, Japan; it was around the world in a matter of days. But Australia was last. Australia was prepared. Gas masks were donned, The Virus being spread by the air. Unaffected individuals were sent out into the desert, to build an impressive city, built on technology. A glass dome isolated the city. The air was tainted. Biodomes, connected to The Main Dome by glass walkways, contained various natural environments. Trees produced clean air for those within The Dome to breathe. 200 years after its creation, the city of Tektron was booming with life. A company known as 'The Hive' arose, took control. The years brought with them many wonderful things - cars and boards able to hover in the air; holographic forms of technology used to communicate within the city; major advancements in the scientific fields; alternative sources of energy used to power the massive city. Along with these wonderful things came the Punks. There are always the rebellious ones. Cyber, Steam, Bio, Splatter, Elf and Myth. Six gangs, living in The Slums of Tektron. Drugs, graffiti, theft and crime are common. Teenagers, orphans, runaways. They make their own families. They oppose the rule of The Hive. They refuse to be controlled, too intelligent to become mindless puppets of a mindless system.

...The New Age holds strong. The Punk's are free. ×

The Punk Gangs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. C Y B E R P U N K .
Territory: West Side of The Slums; less destroyed area.
Size: Largest gang; 50 + members.
Symbol: The Eye.
Colours: Bright; electric colours.
Alliances: Biopunk.
Rivalries: Steampunk; Splatterpunk.
Common Features: Piercings; tattoos; party animals; carefree; musicians; hackers; loud & outgoing.
Common Drugs: Skittles & Nirvana.
Recruitment Process: Simple; high acceptance rate; no special requirements.

    Born from technology, they are;

    × technos,

    × cybers,

    × " bots. "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cyberpunk is a gang that finds its power in its numbers more-so than any other factor. Their members are mostly just kids and teenagers who've ran away from strict homes so they can party to their heart's content, free from the rules and regulations facing your typical dwellers within The Dome. They especially love raves, holding them in their side of The Slums all the time, for Cybers only. While the more outer, less-important, members of Cyberpunk appear of average intelligence, with little goal in life but to live in the moment, the inner-circle is made up of genius hackers and programmers, some intent on bringing down The Hive, others simply in advancing the technology they already have. Music is also an important factor in a Cyberpunk's life, as a party would be nothing without some killer beats, so it isn't uncommon for members to spend nights - if not weeks - creating their own party-worthy music. This, of course, means fast, upbeat, techno and dubstep, none of that rock or heavy metal junk. Their relationships with the other gangs are generally positive, if not neutral; however, as Steampunk opposes The New Age's technology and Splatterpunk believes Cyberpunk's music taste and life choices to be complete rubbish, Cyberpunk often finds itself butting heads with the two. On the other hand, Biopunk, who are all about advancements in technology and letting loose, have formed an alliance of sorts with the lively Cyberpunk.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. S T E A M P U N K .
Territory: The Underground.
Size: Relatively large; 20 - 30 members.
Symbol: The Clock.
Colours: Warm; earth tones.
Alliances: Splatterpunk.
Rivalries: Cyberpunk.
Common Features: Inventors; sophisticated; curious; interested by history & patient.
Common Drugs: None.
Recruitment Process: Fairly simple; high acceptance rate; requires passion for The Old Age.

    Born from the past, they are;

    × inventors,

    × tinkers,

    × " fossils. "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steampunk find themselves stuck in The Old Age, completely out of choice. While it is true that The New Age is built upon technology, a fact that Steampunk are surprisingly accepting of, that does not mean that The Old Age was completely devoid of it. Finding the exact opposite, Steampunk put all of their time and effort into fashioning robots and various other gadgets based off of what they know of the forgotten times. They despise the mentality of The Hive - and most Technoids - saying that The Old Age doesn't matter and should be dismissed completely; that the world is the way it is now because of their old ways, that they caused nothing but damage to the earth, and nothing good ever came of their existence. They accept both the bad and the good that came from The Old Age, especially works of art, and look down on those who choose to look down on the era of which they love. For this reason, Steampunk has obvious issues with Cyberpunk, who look nowhere but forward. However, as Splatterpunk is a gang that also admires The Old Age, the two have formed a firm relationship based on mutual love and respect.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. B I O P U N K .
Territory: East side of The Slums; covered in graffiti.
Size: Relatively small; 10 - 20 members.
Symbol: The Spider.
Colours: Varied; includes every colour that nature provides.
Alliances: Cyberpunk; Elfpunk.
Rivalries: None.
Common Features: Piercings; tattoos; animalistic characteristics; wild; rebellious & fearless.
Common Drugs: Nirvana, Skittles & Fluff.
Recruitment Process: Complex; low acceptance rate; requires alteration of DNA.

    Born from experimentation, they are;

    × mutants,

    × splicers,

    × " freaks. "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Biopunk members combine their human DNA with that of an animal. The higher ranked members of Biopunk, those who started the movement, are no newbies when it comes to altering the genetic make-up of a human being. Now seasoned veterans, there is nothing to fear from the operation conducted as a form of 'initiation' into the gang. However, as the alterations are permanent and not exactly subtle, runaways often don't even take Biopunk into consideration when deciding on a gang to become a member of. Those who do become members, though, gain the benefits of both enhanced senses and becoming closer to one animal they love; because that's what, at their core, Splicers are - animal lovers. Although, in The New Age, animals are kept strictly to the various Biodomes, Biopunk keep close ties to the creatures they so love by adopting some of their characteristics. Since they are in need of different DNA samples, Biopunk struck up an alliance with the nature-loving Elfpunk who, through unknown methods, bring them genetic samples as they are needed. And, when that fails, Biopunk turn to Cyberpunk, who hack into The Hive's databases and extract any genetic code their ally needs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Image

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. S P L A T T E R P U N K .
Territory: The Library.
Size: Second largest gang; 30 - 40 members.
Symbol: The Rose.
Colours: Cold; dark colours.
Alliances: Steampunk.
Rivalries: Cyberpunk.
Common Features: Piercings; tattoos; laced clothing; anti-religious; pessimistic; writers & artists.
Common Drugs: Nirvana & Fluff.
Recruitment Process: Simple; high acceptance rate; no special requirements.

    Born from darkness, they are;

    × goths,

    × slashers,

    × " vampires. "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Splatterpunk is a haven for the morbid minded. Members harbour a dark fascination for gothic literature and artwork, having a preference for heavier music with meaningful lyrics as opposed to the upbeat crap found at Cyberpunk parties. While their creations - writing, art, music - are gruesome and full of hatred and anger, the Slashers themselves are a peaceful gang and do quite like to keep to themselves. Their interests stem from what The New Age calls 'classic' literature, from the days before The Virus hit, including one author by the name of 'Stephen King', among others. They're wonderful intellectual conversationalists, even if their conversation often disregards the current era, and love to share their art between each other. Due to their connection with the past, Splatterpunk find themselves on good terms with the other Old Age dwellers, Steampunk, and at odds with The New Age supporters, Cyberpunk.

. E L F P U N K .
Territory: Unknown.
Size: Unknown.
Symbol: The Butterfly.
Colours: Magical; earth tones with splashes of light colours.
Alliances: Biopunk.
Rivalries: None.
Common Features: Butterfly wings; pointed ears; tribal tattoos; peaceful; mysterious & delicate.
Common Drugs: Fluff.
Recruitment Process: Unknown.

    Born from nature, they are;

    × fae,

    × elvish,

    × " mushroom people. "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elfpunk are shrouded in a veil of magic and mystery. With their pointed ears, perfect smiles and soft voices, the members of Elfpunk don't seem entirely human. The very real butterfly wings most females - and very few males - are in possession of really make them stand out as magical creatures. Similar to Biopunk, Elfpunk love and respect nature; however, their love is more for the flowers and trees as opposed to animal life. Nonetheless, the two gangs find a mutual respect for each other, with Elfpunk, a very peaceful gang, relying on Biopunk for protection, if ever needed, and Biopunk relying on Elfpunk to retrieve genetic samples from animals. Since animals only live in the specialised Biodomes, the theory that Elfpunk live within the Biodomes has arisen in more than just one gang.

. M Y T H P U N K .
Territory: Unknown.
Size: Very small; approximately 10 members.
Symbol: The Lightning Bolt.
Colours: Varied; each to their own preferred colour scheme.
Alliances: None.
Rivalries: None.
Common Features: Mysterious; powerful; exclusive; keep to themselves & are "above" everyone.
Common Drugs: None.
Recruitment Process: Unknown.

    Born from the stars, they are;

    × olympians,

    × legends,

    × " goddities. "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mythpunk claim to be Greek gods and goddesses of The Old Age. With an air of power surrounding them, the very small and entirely exclusive group all appear to be teenagers, despite their mannerisms and obvious maturity. Their leader, Zeus, is especially commanding with his two older brothers as right-hands, Pluto and Poseidon. No new members ever appear. No old members leave or age. Many runaways refuse to accept their claims to be Legends, that they walk this earth to interact with younger generations in an attempt to not be forgotten with the rest of The Old Age, but nobody can deny the mystery surrounding the gang. The personalities and attitudes to outsiders within Mythpunk vary from member to member but one thing is sure - Zeus' word is law. For the most part, they like to have their own forms of fun with those from other gangs, as their shared good looks gain them many affections. As they need nothing from any other gang, and love to keep to themselves, Mythpunk have formed no alliances. However, nobody dares to have anything wrong with them above petty doubts, as the disappearances of those who opposed them in past are still whispered about.

    × This roleplay is semi-lit; please offer up substantial posts.
    × Now, this practically goes without saying, but no god-modding, of any sort, will be tolerated.
    × When posting out of character, please use {([ - ])} of your choice.

× F O R . T H E . G A N G . M E M B E R S .
    × Conflict between gangs is strictly forbidden in Limbo.
    × Do not trespass on others' territory without permission and/or a guide from the inner-circle of the gang.
    × Never share your gang's secrets - that's betrayal of the highest sort.
    × If suspicious that somebody in your gang is a Bug, do not let them know, simply pass it on to your superiors and carry on with your life.
    × Major crimes attract the unwanted attention of The Hive - avoid over-the-top public conflicts, violent acts towards non-gang members, graffiti of buildings outside of The Slums, among other things.
    × Avoid romantic and/or sexual relationships with a member of another gang - this can cause unwanted conflict.
    × Once you have reached the age of 26, it is your choice to either leave The Slums completely, in favour of the more civilised areas of Tekno, or to work at Limbo - Limbo promises to offer jobs to ex-gang members too old to be Punks anymore.

    × Kitty takes after the animal DNA added to his own, in both personality and physical characteristics. Your average house cat is known for doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and bothering its owners to pay it attention and give it love, when it feels like it. As more of a kitten than an older cat, Lucas also holds strongly to his more curious nature, despite desperate attempts to appear mature through feigned disinterest. So much as mention to Kitty that you're hiding some sort of secret and he'll do anything and everything he can to find out what it is, while still trying to act like he doesn't really care about it. Ridiculous, isn't he?

    More like childish, though. Kitty still clings to the nature of an innocent young boy, his efforts to appear mature fooling most people but never those close to him. They know of his love of sweet foods, the cute little 'nyas and 'meows' he utters when tired or frustrated, his inability to sit still and focus, the excitement that lights up his eyes when a new mystery arises that he's permitted to explore... while he is prone to being rude and bratty, selfish and unmotivated to do anything if it isn't in his own personal interests, Kitty secretly admits that he loves to feel the warmth of those around him by cuddling them and thoroughly enjoys when his hair is played with, pet like he's an actual kitten...
H I S T O R Y :;
    × There's not much to Kitty's history that should interest anyone, so it's likely that nobody but the boy himself knows it. He was a lazy child, too laid-back to handle the straightforward life of a Technoid. He was expected to go to school, get good grades, go to university, get a job under the Hive and raise a family. Not get into mischief, pull pranks, sleep the day away and rebel against his elders. Now, guess which side of the coin Kitty was flipped.

    It was just two years ago when Kitty finally worked up the courage to run away from home, after his confused twelve year old self kissed one of the boys in his class and was then berated heavily for doing so by both his teacher and his parents. Apparently, having a gay son was not in their plan for raising the perfect child. After all, two men cannot produce a child naturally, and they in no way planned on wasting money in funding the production of a grandchild through science (which is perfectly possible in Tekno, and not nearly as expensive as Kitty's parents play it up to be). For Kitty - or Lucas as he was known at the time - the choice to join Biopunk, as opposed to any of the other gangs, was an easy one. He'd always loved his pet cat and was greatly upset when he had to leave it behind in favour of this new life.
T H E M E . S O N G :;
A N Y T H I N G . E L S E ? :;
    × The specific breed of cat that Kitty's DNA comes from is a Bombay, just like his abandoned pet cat.
    × He looks up to Fang, modelling his serious attitude after the older boy who humours Kitty by being extra kind to him.
    × Kitty is ridiculously flexible, like a cat, and also possesses the ability to purr when satisfied.

    × Pluto simply does not want to be here. He does not want to know who you are. He does not want to know what your reason is for bothering him. Does not want to look at, speak to, or even think of you or any other petty mortal in the nightclub his brother forces him to lurk in. Pluto hates everyone, the end. Or, at least, he wished that was the end...

    Pluto is a grumpy raincloud in the fun of Limbo, refusing to socialise or even try to have fun. Anybody trying to approach him is met by an ice-cold glare, Mythpunk and otherwise. With his tendency to bring the atmosphere around him down, even most members of Mythpunk avoid spending time with him, leaving the boy hating himself and his existence ever more. Although, he's not all doom and gloom, as his smile (though a rare sight) is often followed by a snarky comment, usually at another's expense, that causes those around him to share in a laugh.
H I S T O R Y :;
    × Forced into the gang by his younger brother, Zeus, Pluto has done his best to pass the time over the years. Dabbling in a few drugs over the years, he despises Nirvana as his own hallucinations are enough to deal with, avoids the energetic Skittles, and yet has a fondness for Fluff, which he smokes often in his corner of Limbo.

    × Appears around 16 years old.
G E N D E R :;
    × Female.
P E R S O N A L I T Y :;
    × Artemis refuses to be ruled over, rebellious to a fault. Her temper often gets the best of her, the polar opposite of her calm and cool brother, Apollo. In fact, he often has to keep his younger sister in check, as there is little filter between her mind and her mouth. Too many times that can be counted, Artemis has lashed out verbally at someone with an opinion different from hers, especially when it comes to women and the stereotype that they're delicate flowers that cannot do things without the help of some strong male figure. You so much as refer to Artemis' gender as an impediment and she'll beat the crap out of you until an apology is given. Even then, Artemis would treat you as scum, worse than the dirt underneath her boots.

    Despite this mentality, Artemis still holds onto a certain degree of her femininity. She isn't above dressing up every once in a while, although she admits that over-the-top fancy skirts and dresses make her feel uncomfortable, mostly since they're low on practicality and restrict her movements. That's really what Artemis is about - how practical things are. Airy-fairy stuff isn't her thing, day-dreaming never really a problem for her. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that she isn't intelligent; quite the opposite, really. Artemis' genius lies in another field, though, that of the hunt - she loves to run, to chase her prey, to play tricks on them then take them down with amazing power... now, whether you're applying this literally or figuratively, this part of Artemis' personality still holds true. She never gives in to weakness, never loses sight of any goal, and, if Artemis promises to do something, you know damn well that's she's going to do it.

    Now, while Artemis' rebellious streak is strong, she's perfectly fine with falling into line for a good reason. If she agrees with what is being said or respects the person saying these things, then Artemis becomes a loyal ally with both a mean bark and a downright nasty bite. She's quick with her words and retaliations, taking pride in her ability to mentally and physically break a person with little to no effort on her part. But, if effort is required, let it be known that Artemis is a hard worker with a strong sense of justice. She may be a little prejudice against the male populous, but, that can easily be fixed with a single member if he treats her as an equal and not beneath him. All in all, if you remain on her good side, Artemis is a spunky teenage girl who would back up her friends to the very end.
H I S T O R Y :;
    × It's not uncommon knowledge that Mythpunk and its members are very mysterious, indeed. The same goes for their members and where they came from, seeming to all appear at once as a complete gang, spending the majority of their time in Limbo. Artemis is no exception to this, of course, arriving with the rest of the gods and goddesses in The Slums and quickly becoming known as the most powerful gang in proportion to its numbers. Artemis had a large part in this, as many boys game enough to hit on her were beat into the ground, spat on, then yelled at for being pigs. Well... that wasn't entirely true. There was one time where she lowered her guard just a little too much.

    It had to be a couple years back now, though the wound is still fresh for the secretly sensitive Artemis. She met a boy, a member of Splatterpunk, with beautiful blue eyes just like the moon... he was perfect and Artemis soon fell for him. The goddess was lucky enough to find her feelings returned as the boy, Razor, asked her out for a very special night where feelings were admitted, a kiss was shared, and a bond formed. Secretly, Artemis was amazed that Razor was able to look past her harsh exterior and accept the fact that, yes, she was female and, yes, she did have feelings... but it was all a lie. An elaborate act performed by a heartless Slasher with nothing but his personal interest in mind, worming his way into Mythpunk through Artemis' heart in a way to discover their secrets. Of course, she and the rest of the gang realised this before he found anything out. Of course, Artemis felt betrayed. And, surprisingly, she broke down, into tears, in front of this boy who she'd dared to trust.

    You'd expect Artemis to beat him up, but she couldn't manage even that. The harsh tomboy who did her best to remain unfazed, to be joking and playful but strong and independent at the same time, lost her bite and became nothing but a whimpering puppy. She went missing from Limbo for a week or two, the only place Mythpunk was frequently found, as word of her heartbreak spread, that she wasn't the unbreakable force that everybody thought she was. But Artemis came back, stronger than ever before. And Razor? Well, Razor never came back. And nobody ever dared upset Artemis ever again, not so long as she and her twin brother were around to have each others' backs.
T H E M E . S O N G :;
A N Y T H I N G . E L S E ? :;
    × Artemis is often covered in various bumps, bruises and scratches from her nightly adventures. She loves the moon and the night, even to the point that she appears nocturnal...
    × Artemis' twin brother, Apollo, is the most important person in her life... and, for the most part, the only boy she loves, rather than tolerates.
    × Artemis lets her guard down more with females rather than males but is still guarded to the point that she seems like she's trying to push others away from her.

A G E :;
    × Twenty years old
G E N D E R :;

P E R S O N A L I T Y :;
    × Cunning and dangerous, Maddock is a scaled hunter in a man's body, with eyes that see everything and everyone as prey. Believing strongly in saying what you mean, Maddock almost always speaks his mind. As such, his words are often jumbled in riddles and rhymes. Getting his point out may take some time, but if for some unfortunate reason you were unable to understand him, he'd make sure to get it through your skull. Or get something through your skull, anyways. Maddock hates repeating himself. Many would call him violent for his ways and beliefs, but he knows them to be a way to get things done, and a way that works, and that's all that really matters. He's been dubbed 'Mad Maddy' for his less than linear mind, and rather than be offended by it, he's grown attached to it, and now prefers that title over his old nickname of Raptor. Usually said in fear by other gangs and even some of his own, 'Mad Maddy' is just a little too appropriate for the scaled man. I mean, anyone who chooses to destroy their human body couldn't be anything less than mad, could they?

    When Maddock was altered during his recruitment, the DNA was fierce like the creature it was taken from, and took over most of his body. Covered in scales and feathered spikes like the fallen monster, the Velociraptor, he looks undeniably ferocious. He learned very early to move about with his enormous tail and clawed hands and feet. He has earned himself a few scars, accidents of his new body that he now only grins at. While he's learned well how to control and work with them, even to the point of genetic modifications, he may still leave a few scrapes and bruises on the new members. Whether those are still accepted as accidents or not is debatable.

    Being Leader of the Biopunk's means having certain skills. Maddock is one of the most talented Gene Splicers the gang has ever seen, even before he took it over. Possibly being the only thing he's compassionate about, Mad Maddy is always thrilled when they receive new applicants, and because of it the Biopunk's have seen the biggest acceptance rate spike in their history with him as head. Presented with the technology to bring his wildest dreams and even nightmares alive, their leader is not shy when it comes to alterations. During this "frenzy" of his, it's the easiest to approach and talk to him; he's usually most happy during splicing.

    Mad Maddy has a very low opinion of most everyone outside of his gang. Being "strictly human" comes as such a disadvantage to him, and he believes that he and the other genetically changed are way above everyone else. Even Cyberpunk and Elfpunk, while close allies and useful are just that to him. Useful. Ways to get what he needs. If it came down to it, and they stopped providing, they'd be seen just like the other scum.

    Toward his own members, Maddock is very teasing and playful, often messing with their animalistic senses and hunger. He loves testing to see how far he can go before triggering their respective animal sides, and he always loves to see the wildness in their eyes. He is well aware of how different he is compared to their last leader, and while he may be difficult to approach, he is well immersed within the group. He keeps his place firmly, and makes sure of everyone else knows theirs, but believes they are family and their situation in the world is the same. He is a malicious tyrant, a king of mutants he holds dear.
H I S T O R Y :;
    × Some hardly believe that Maddock was ever anything but a scaly beast, with claws and fangs teamed with his madness. Stories of the Biopunk's leader crawling out of an egg and growing onto two legs like a natural born monster are told as jokes, because sometimes it's hard to tell if there really is a man under all that green. But Maddock was once a kid just like any other, with pink, fragile, fleshy skin covering his very human body. His mind less warped, and only innocently curious about the animals that were restricted to the Biodomes.

    Maddock was born in the humming heart of the city, swarmed and surrounded by lights and sounds of The New Age. They were fascinating, and everyone always told him he was lucky to have been born during this age, when humanity has come so far with technology. They were beautiful and eye-catching, yes, but they were entirely boring to young Maddock. Nothing ever changed in the city, The Hive controlled things well and firmly, and didn't leave much to the imagination. The world was advanced and growing, but always in the same direction, always with the same thing in mind. Hardly anyone talked about life predating The Dome, and no one ever asked. Maddock was content, at least, to live life the way it was up until he hit fourteen years of age, when he met a stranger outside of his high-rise. More than just being unknown to him, the man was strange in the way that feathers seemed to poke out of his hoodie, like he was smuggling birds through the city. He'd seen the flighty creatures in books and programs, but had never even seen a living thing besides humans in his life. It instantly sparked his interest. Maddock wasn't much of a rule breaker, and aside from being utterly unimpressed with life he had no reason to step out of line, until he saw him. It was strange the way he walked, the way he swung his head back and forth like he had a secret big enough to get him killed. Dodging behind one of the street lights, Maddock watched and eventually followed until the buildings were uneven and well covered in graffiti. The place was incredible, and lost the fake lighting the rest of the city had. Almost every surface was covered in it, from quotes and slang to small doodles and beautiful pictures that covered an entire wall. Maddock lost his feather covered friend more than once when his eyes wandered to the walls.

    Even at a young age Maddock was a little scatter brained, and the further he went into those coloured streets the more he lost himself. Even if he had wanted to, there was no going back. His brain had the funny idea of staying there, sleeping in the tunnels or on the streets. It didn't look like many people lived all the way out there anyways. Well, aside from his target. The same one that had stopped and was turned to face him, only a few feet a way. Maddock had let his attention slip away and hadn't realized the stranger had stopped, and had probably been watching him for at least a few minutes. He wondered how far he could get before he was outrun, that is, before the stranger spoke.

    "Are you lost?"

    Maddock couldn't answer, he was still debating running away.

    "Answer me, are you lost?"

    Slowly, he shook his head, and-- wait a second, was he standing on bird feet?!

    The stranger grinned, squinting his unusually beady black eyes. "So you were following me. We don't usually do this outside of Limbo."

    Maddock was confused, his brained scrambled for some sort of sense, but he eventually spoke. "Y-Yeah, sorry, that's where I'm going... and I just forgot what... er, where it is." He was obviously lying, but if the stranger noticed he didn't say anything about it. Instead, he lifted a hand, a hand literately covered in feathers, and pointed. When he turned his head to follow it, he heard the sound of what could only have been flapping wings. He didn't look back, either in fear or to keep the mystery alive. Instead he walked forward.

    It turned out that Limbo was a nightclub. It had taken him a few days to find it, but when he did he couldn't tell if he was surprised or disappointed. What it had to do with strange bird people, he had no idea. Maddock couldn't recall any other club that would allow a fourteen year old inside, but they did without question, even smiled at him like they knew something. Inside was like another world, the lights were harsh and the music was loud, and the people... the people were amazing. Wings! Wings were the first thing he noticed, like an insect's but huge, fitting between the shoulders of girls all huddled in a group, smiling and talking to a boy with brightly coloured hair and piercings all over his face. They were people in strange bland clothing with pocket watches in their hands, and then those that stood firm and calm, seeming to look down on everyone else, with an air of superiority without even saying anything. But the best of all, out of all the oddities there, was a tall, built kid at the back, his hair thick and golden, fangs poking over his lips and a set of bright ears and a tail like a paintbrush. He was the personification of a lion, a king. Maddock made for him with bright eyes.

    Learning of the Biopunks was the first step to changing Maddock's life. Humans and animals sharing a single body, the creatures he could only see in pictures living and breathing, their features in full bloom. He didn't see them as monsters, but more like other-wordly beasts, and unlike the city of technology he'd grown up in, they were fascinating. He'd decided to join them even before realizing he was a runaway. He was not homesick and felt no guilt in leaving home, in fact, this place felt more like home than his high-rise ever had. Joining the Biopunks was another step altogether. The lion man had told him of their low acceptance rate, but he shook his head at it all, he wanted to join so bad, he needed to. While he could see with his own eyes that none of the members still looked human, he didn't fully realize he'd have to undergo the same, painful changes.

    Many say that it was the surgery that tipped Maddock's mind, that the scars over his body weren't only physical. After being fully initiated he was never the same. He'd become power hungry, angry, sick... They gave him the DNA of a hunter, a beast that shared kin with the rulers of the past world. The raptor took over his body and he became a scaled monster. His rise to power was quick and paved in bloodshed. While no one can say for sure what happened to gain him so much favor, if you look closely, you may still be able to see golden fur between his fangs.

    × Mad Maddy's quick rise to power ended in a battle with the previous leader, the "Golden Prince". While the fight took them through every crevice of their gangs territory, only Maddock came out alive.
    x Because of the dinosaur DNA, he has grown to stand about 6'6''
    x His huge tail usually follow him along the floor but he has muscle movement and can lift and swing it with a lot of effort.
    x Mad Maddy takes many different "mates", and very often. It's not often any can entertain him long to stick around, though.
