Quarter Apple Farms is farm of about 250 acres located in the backwoods of Kentucky. At Quarter Apple Farms we breed Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, and Paints each horse is pure bred and adopted out. Our horses are all full bred horse with great potentials for whatever you plan to use them for. Each horse here is kept till they are about 2 years and ready for training. We offer all sorts of unique colors for each breed.
BREEDING PROGRAM
Each horse at Quarter Apple Farms is specially picked with top breeding. Each horse is specially looked at to see the right personality and conformation. Most of first horses dam and sire will say foundation horse. But hopefully as time goes by there will be less and less of that and more known horse names. Each breed is bred to fit all sorts of disciplines. While some maybe bred for certain disciplines only. When you place your horse up for breeding there will be two different breeding programs you can do. Private and Public Breeding. All horses must reach the right age of 3 years before they can start breeding.
PRIVATE BREEDING
Private breeding is where you personally want to choose who your horse is bred with and what happens to the foal. Usually the owner of the dam will get the foal. If the owner of the mare does not want the foal it will go to the owner of sire. If the owner of the sire does not want the foal, then the foal will be held till 2 years at the barn and adopted out publicly.
PUBLIC BREEDIMG
Public breeding is where you have your horse open for breeding at the barn. We will breed the horse with another random horse of the same breed and automatically place the foal up for adoption. It helps keep the adoption program and genetics going.
