Alright, since I’m currently on vacation and can’t wait to get back home and see my dogs, I decided to draw a picture of one of them. This is one of my eight year old miniature poodles and she is named Pepper. I’ve been really worried about her lately since she was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease a few months ago and isn’t doing very well on the medication. She’s been very easily upset and scared by almost any noise recently so I’ve been trying to comfort her as much as I can. Her vets said that they’d try to find a maintenance dose of the medication while my family and I are on vacation, so it would be nice if they have by the time I return.
As for the drawing, it is a huge work in progress. I’m just posting it now as motivation to actually finish it at some point. I'm not used to drawing semi-realism or dogs, so this is somewhat an experiment for me. At least so far it's a big improvement over the one that I drew a little over a year ago (here). The reference that I'm using is a photo that I took of Pepper.
Edit: I've made some more progress with the drawing now. Hopefully it looks alright so far, I'm really not looking forward to drawing the rest of that collar. The timer is around an hour off.
Another edit:
Okay guys, sorry for the delay, I really am planning on finishing this eventually. My laptop has a virus that doesn't allow me to access the Internet right now, so I can't finish this until that has been repaired. It may be fixed in a few days, but I may also need to get a new laptop which would take longer, but please understand that I'll get back to working on this as soon as possible.
