What is a Koinine?
A Koinine is a very fast, scaly, and long creature that hatches from translucent eggs. Their upper body resembles a wolf or a fox, while their long, snaky figure is similar to that of a koi fish. It's powerful muscles are capable of travel for many days at a time, and this friendly creature will happily carry a passenger with it and swim along the surface. Koinines typically reside deep underwater all around the world, but they may be seen admiring the sunset or exploring a coastline occasionally. A Koinines diet mainly consists of seafood, but they will willingly eat anything edible given to them. These beings used to be plentiful, but human pollution has killed many of them off. They are an endangered species, but if you're lucky to find one, it will take a great liking to you!
About Koinines
Sizes✖ Adult: Not very comparable;
about two and a half horses long.
Body is the thickness of 3 people.
✖ Child: About half the length
of an adult; 2.5 big dogs long.
Body is the thickness of 2 people.
✖ Baby/Egg: About as big as a
large rock, or a grown chicken.
✖Much like horses, Koinines can be mounted and rode on. Since they use their tail and fins to swim near the surface, you don't have to worry about slipping off or underwater.
✖Most Koinines have pendants hanging around their necks. Child Kois get these pendants when they reach the surface of the water for the first time. This is a big event for Koinines, and their reward is treasured and worn by them forever. However, some Koinines are not too brave and don't get their pendants, although this is rare. Pendants come in many colors, and usually represent each individual.
✖Koinines are known for their brightly colored scales that come in any imaginable color, from white to red to blue to black and anything in between. Each Koinines markings are unique an different, but most Koi have at least three colors.
-----excluding eye color. To find a Koi with one or two colors is extremely rare, and is considered extremely lucky.
-----✖A Koinine can be PPS. That means that it will never grow into adult stage or be able to carry passengers.
-----✖Kois may have hair and other accessories on them if the artist wants, but the artist must check with me before adding.
-----✖Because of their strong muscles and fast swimming, Koinines do not have any natural predators, although they tend to------stay away from sharks and whales anyways, because they tend to hog all of the food. :<
