A little birthday gift for one of my absolute best friends in the entire world, Flit.
Flit, you're an absolutely amazing person. I know you've been through a rough past couple of years, and only opened up to us very recently, but you're so strong. I know that you're getting much better now and trying so hard, and I'll always be here to help you. I know a lot of times you feel down about yourself as a person, but you are wonderful. Although you can be shy and you feel like you can't be empathetic sometimes, you get me like no one else does. You always seem to know the right thing to say to me, and that's priceless. I couldn't ask for anyone else to be able to pick me up off the ground like you do, and to watch out for me in the way you do. I know for sure you'll always have my back, and I hope you know that I've got yours forever.
Sometimes you don't remember this, but you're unbelievably smart and a really hard worker. Your writing is fantastic (and yes, I do realize you think there's always room for improvement, I think that about my stuff too) and gosh dang it you're a great reader and debater. I love talking about books with you, or even just analyzing the writing of any British TV shows. And then there is, of course, our marathoning of the Lizzie Bennet Diaries which can certainly not go unmentioned. You're hilarious with your dry sarcastic humor, and you squeals of delight when you finally get to see Darcy. You're passionite about everything but school work, and I can always see that passion. Sweetie, you are an absolute fabulous person and friend and if you don't remember that then I'm going to tell you it every day until you do. (As I provide you with tea, of course.)
Flit, I hope you have an absolutely amazing birthday, since you deserve it. You better bet it'll be filled with happiness and joy, and if it isn't then I'm going to make it such.
So remember girl, go out there and smile, and never give up. Because I believe in you the way John believes in Sherlock. You can do this honey. You can do anything.
Love,
Pepper
