this is, in a nutshell, my day of nothing. I spawned a whole new world on Minecraft and wandered around the place, since my epic build was on the school issue laptop, and I couldn't get it off at all, the whole projects a bust and I REALLY don't want to start from scratch! D:>
I spawned in single player, I think the seed I put in was <World_4_Base> if you don't spawn in a jungle area with chocoa bean pods everywhere, then it wasn't it and I'll take a look for it. but after wandering around half the day, I finally left the forest out of curiosity and the sight I saw was, simply put, GORGEOUS! a floating island, a beautiful chasm of rock formations, huge arcs over water, not to mention a ginormous pasture filled to the brim with over 20 sheep. on the other side of the formation, I saw a whole bunch of pigs, the cows are in the jungle.
I built my house on a tree top, of course, and the view is just beautiful, lemme get you some screenshots sometime ^^
but more onto the pic section, after I established my home base, I went looking for a good place to start a mine(other than right next to my house, that's actually kinda stupid) I went to the beach to dig up some sand for glass; after a few dozen blocks, one of the sands fell and I went to see, almost falling down a 20 block hole. I dug my way down and it revealed this amazing tunnel filled, annoyingly, with gravel and dirt that of course I had to dig through =.=
Since I'm known for getting lost in mines, I had at least 18 signs with me at all times, giving each tunnel a name as well at a directional sign to the exit, or Mine Base I, after a while, I found what I called "Deep Dark Hole" and further down, a "Lava Pit," digging around the gravel, I started shafts and named them alphabetically; again, adding an exit sign so I didn't get lost.
mining all the way back, I found not just my first trace of red stone, but also a block of Lapis Lazuli and DIAMOND!!!!
a total of 13 blocks of diamond on ONE trip!!!
I know it's kinda silly, but every time I found Diamond, I mined it then placed a sign where I got it saying "DIAOMOND HATH BIN HEAUR!" (Die-oh-maund hath been hee-our) after the whole 7 hours of mining and crafting, I had about 15 diamonds for all my hard work, 12 gold ingots, 50 total iron ingots(39 of which were used for various things) 6 cookies, a full stack of chocoa beans, a good farm started on my roof in the open air, a great home base, 4 potential mining sites, a compass, a block of obsidian (couldn't find any naturally, so I made one, losing my lava block in the process TT_TT) a cart plan, at least 5 total stacks of coal, cake, and a beautiful site to end the day ^^ right up on my balcony.

it was either this or spending 5 hours trying to sleep again =.= it was a good dream, I'll go ahead and draw it for you guys later.
