What is a Fluendi? wrote:Fluendis are a generally short, stocky animal with a wide variety of color variations and fur patterns; from natural to bright green and velvet-y to silky. They have a flat nose and fluffy ears, with a short, puffy tail and flat, supportive paws for their 60-100 pound build. Flus also have a large, frog-like mouth for eating almost anything with their omnivorous stomachs. One weird thing about them is that their back neck fur pushes backward, instead of forward; studies believe that this may be because their mothers would groom their neck fur the wrong way.
Fluendis also have large eyes for seeing and detecting prey in the night. Their feet may be webbed, too; but they are only born with webbed feet if they were living within fifty feet of a large water source. Fluendis born in the forest, away from ponds and lakes, generally won't develop this feature.
Their noises consist of various chirps and clicks and grunts, and a unique sound, sounding as if a man with throat cancer were saying 'glarp'.

Queens are born with horns, and they're usually born from the king and queen (the ratio of them having a flu with the queen gene is 1/350). The mother (queen at the time) of the queen usually dies after giving birth to their daughter with the queen gene, and the new queen becomes the queen once she meets a fluendi with the king gene that is within her age limit.
The king gene is more common than the queen gene (1/75) and can come from any mateship, not just from the king and queen like the queen gene does. Kings normally die after a year of living if they haven't come in contact with a queen near his age.
If fluendis with the king gene and the queen gene meet, they'll become the new king and queen; the old king will die a year after because his mate (the old queen) died.
The mother of the king or queen dies because of the horns tearing open their insides during birth, therefore forcing the father of the newborn to have to do the rest of the work of bringing the baby out into the real world. The horns develop last in the womb, a month before the actual birth, and the mother will usually have great pains during this time. Rarely does the mother ever survive the birthing of a fluendi with the king or queen gene; but, if she does, this is usually in captivity or from a fluendi with the queen gene because of her shorter horns that the king's.
