Beautifully Wild

Postby ~MadCatter~ » Wed Feb 13, 2013 10:28 am

I am much better with drawing landscapes than I am people. LOL! This was inspired by teh song "Long Lost Child" by Mindy Gledhill. I was listening to it nearly the entire time I drew this. LOL! Any critiques or advice?

"Deep within my memory
Where the grass grows to my knees
Where sparrows sing, and all creation speaks to me.

Where clouds rain in noonday sky
With castles, kings, and queens
Where hopes and dreams, and angels’ wings are common things

A long lost child falls behind
And now she is miles and miles from the present time
And just like the birds that fly across the sky
She’s been away awhile
Oh, but I will find her, free from all guile
Beautifully wild
Long lost child"

-Mindy Gledhill

About Me: You can probably already tell, but I adore cats! :'D I have two cats, Charlie and Ziggy. A good way to get me talking is to ask me about them, but be warned, I might not shut up. I also enjoy reading quite a bit. My favorite genre is cozy mysteries. I am autistic, so I don't always understand things, so please be patient with me. I always try to be kind and respectful, but if I ever upset you, please let me know so I can apologize. You can also find me over on Gryffs under the name of Sunlight Sonata.

I edited a few things. I gave her an eyebrow (I forgot before and couldn't figure out why her face looked bare. LOL!) and I made her arm shorter. Oh, and I added bangs.

I like it! Good job! I must ask though, is she standing under a pavement or something because it looks unnatural compared to the landscape.

Thank you! She is standing on a rock under a cloudy summer sky. :)

Okee dokee. I have been adding some improvements so hopefully the rock actually looks like a rock now. LOL!
