A Firrel is an illusive creature. When a lab experiment went awry, the first two Firrel were created. Not knowing what to do with the creatures, they were released into the wild to hopefully die out. That didn't happen. They are hardly seen, but if you wanted to try, they can be found in seasonal forests at dawn and dusk. Each Firrel will prefer one season out of them all, and during the other three they will be hibernating.
Crossed between a squirrel and a fox, the Firrel have a long, bushy tail for climbing trees, which can grow up to 1m long, and keen senses, which help them to survive in the predator infested world. Firrels typically have short hair as it is easier to maintain. While shy and cautious at first, they love to play, and would do all day if they could. They are typically cheeky in nature, but occasionally you could find the odd Firrel with an entirely different personality. The season they prefer influences their personality a lot, with Spring Firrels being sweet & kind, Summer being fun-loving & excitable, Autumn being intelligent & mischievous and Winter being shy & quiet.
The orb around their tail is important. This orb represents their life. If the orb is damaged or cracked, or the string cut, the Firrel can become unimaginably ill, and could even die. They may go into early hibernation if this occurs, but should be fine afterwards.
