There was a knock on the door to Arianna's office, she nibbled on her bottom lip as she looked at the one way glass that allowed her to see who was knocking, but preventing them from seing her. The blonde haired girl leaned back in her chair, a big leather 4000 dollar desk chair designed specifically for her. "Come in." Aria said in an intercom allowing her secritary to hear her as she waved her hand towards the door unlocking it by the motion censor. On the doors of Aria's office, facing the public was a logo, a simply green circle with Greene written in the middle of the circle. Aria was the founder of Greene International Science Research, it was multi-billion dollar company that had earned its way to the top of the science world. Aria had graduated highschool at age eleven, she had taken every science course in the top University in the world, gained all she could for knowledge, finished University at age sixteen after studying all the science programs that the world offered. She then proceeded to work at a science firm as a researcher till she was seventeen. Then when she was seventeen she opened her own company. Now she raked in 50 million dollars monthly, she supplied research and funding to NASA, the US government used her as their primary researcher. She was labeled one of the smartest people in the world, she had discovered many outstanding things, she excelled the most in Nuclear Astro Physics. There wasn't many people that didn't know her name. She made money, and that was all the corporate world realy seemed to care about.
"Sorry to intrude Ma'am, but I just got off the phone with Doctor Sanders, he insists you meet him for dinner tonight to discuss a buisness proposal." Aria's assisstant said to her, the girl rolled her eyes and shook her head before shooing the girl out. Aria had no interest in meeting the man, she had founded her company by herself, and she was bound and determined to keep it that way, she supplied funding, she didn't have partners. That was something all the science nerds of the world seemed not to understand, she didn't want to partner with another firm and compare research and share co-ownership and profit. She had her own scientists and researchers who were perfectly keen on making their own discoveries with her technology and sharing fifty percent of the credit with the company. Maria didn't need some big shot scientist stealing credit from her hard working employees.
"You can tell him to take his offer and shove it up his a**." Aria said to the woman as she left. Slowly the girl leaned back in her chair and looked around her office, the whole back wall was glass that over looked the streets of New York City (Is that a good location?) she couldn't help but sigh as her gaze swung to the chandelier above her head that reflected light all over the room to pure magnificance. In the corner of the room was a figure, sitting on a fireplace, the figure was a shadow, that seemed to be taking a great fascination in Aria from afar. "Didn't anyone ever teach you not to hover?" Aria asked the shadow as it chuckled and stood up, its black shadowy figure that looked like distored smoke appraoched her. When Aria had been three she had been exposed to to much gamma radiation, and the effects had been her shadow powers. Now, radiation didn't bother her, she was immune to poision and chemicals. Instead she had to deal with always having a desirable urge to kill everyone. Which to be honest had nothing to do with her powers, she hated people enough she would have been a homicidal girl even without the powers. They just gave her a better excuse to hate the world.
