Why do you want to adopt?
Just look at her. Look at her fuzzy face. How can she not melt you're heart? I kind of wanted my last two normal adopted rats to be male, and so I was resisting trying for her. But then I thought, there is always breeding and contests, and so I gave in and decided to try for the little love. I am a total pushover when it comes to red eyed creatures. Plus, my three ratties right now all have blue eyes, and I would like to have a rat with a eye color that is not blue (not that I don't like creatures with blue eyes. My own eyes are a blue grayish color.)
I love her color. They are the perfect mix, I just want to hug her and give her kisses. I was super happy when you raised the limit to five, and even more happy now because I can try for this little darling, irresistible ratlet. All the artists are making such cute rats, but three really stood out to me, and one of those three was this girl. I honestly can;t believe she doesn't have a billion forms for her already! All I really know is is that if I win this girl, and I will try my best so hopefully I will have a chance, she would be treated like a queen along with my others rats (who I sketch all the time in real life, even though I don't upload most of most.)
When I decided to try for her, and the two contest rats, I knew I had to somehow shake off my pesky writers block. And I did! All I had to do was think about winning her, and it left. So now I can pour my heart and soul into my form for her. Thank you for the chance at getting such a beauty and for raising the limit!
Rat Name:
Espíritu (means Spirit in Spanish)
I'm not really sure why I chose the name, I guess I just how it looked and sounded
Personality:
Kind.
Espíritu is a very kind rat, always worried about other people's heal and safety more then her own. If she sees someone trip, she is over at their side in a heartbeat, but she can't really help them, being the little ratlet she is. Still, she sees if the person is okay, and then leaves them be, if they have a scrape on their leg or something like that, she will lick (or kiss it) to make it feel better, though, her tongue is so small, and some scrapes can be quite big, as she found out when Lemon tripped over a box of Christmas decorations and scraped her knee. Espíritu spent a couple minutes licking Lemon's knee.
Energetic.
Espíritu is energetic. She seems to have a never ending supply of energy, especially on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, Espíritu is a blur of furry fun. Playing games with the other rats until she is the only one awake. Eventually, she even stays up later then Lemon, who has been known to stay up well past midnight, drawing and watching reruns of her favorite TV show, Monk. When it's not Christmas eve, Espíritu is still super energetic, often annoying the other rats, since sometimes they want to rest and Espíritu just wants to play, play, and play. On Christmas eve, when she finally settles down, she knocks over all the wooden figures in the nativity scene under the tree, and sleeps under it.
Full of holiday cheer.
Espíritu is always full of holiday cheer, especially around Christmas time, when mistletoe hangs in peoples houses and decorations hang on the tree (decorations which Espíritu is prone to knock off just for fun over and over and over again.) Even when it's not Christmas time, Espíritu loves all other seasons, too! Though it makes her a little sad to watch the snow melt away into spring, she does love to watch the flowers pop up all over the yard, and loves Easter almost as much as Christmas. After all, looking for Easter eggs is almost the same as opening Christmas presents, right? Well, not really, but Espíritu is happy no matter what season it is.
Loves getting attention.
Espíritu loves getting attention, as much as she loves giving attention! A kiss on her nose, a scratch behind her ear, a gentle hand stroking her back, that is what she loves. She is so energetic she can't sit still for long, so you couldn't really call her 'cuddly,' but she does love some back scratches for a minute or two, maybe a couple strokes of her tail, and before you know, you have been petting her for fifteen minutes. But that's about as much attention she needs, and it's usually not fifteen minutes of it. When she has had enough attention, she will jump away at top speed, looking for something fun to do.
Happy.
Espíritu is a very happy rat, almost never in a bad mood. If she is in a bad mood, it's probably just because no one wanted to play with her for the past two days. But that almost never happens. She is a friendly, happy, energetic rat, and loves giving and getting attention. If there is a holiday coming up, she is extra happy, and if it is her birthday, well, you wouldn't think a rat could get so excited and happy. Espíritu is defiantly a very, very, very happy rat.
Friendly.
Espíritu is friendly for sure. She loves to help people, even if they are strangers, and make new friends. If she sees someone new, she will dash right over and say "Hi!" with a cheery, wide, friendly smile. The only time she is not friendly or happy is when she is a bad mood, but that doesn't happen often. one of the reasons she loves Christmas time because she meets so many news people and rats, and enjoys chatting with everyone. She is friendly, and if you were to call her shy and mean, or dark and gloomy, you would be lying, as she is the exact opposite of those things. She is defiantly a friendly rat.

Quirks:
Espíritu loves mistletoe. No matter what time of year it is, she makes Lemon keep mistletoe all around the house, sometimes annoying Lemon, who would have liked to hang a calender right where Espíritu's favorite group of mistletoe is. But if Lemon takes down the mistletoe, Espíritu just stares up at her with wide, red eyes, and squeaks until Lemon puts the mistletoe back. Espíritu, also, being a mistletoe rat and all, likes to give people kisses. Whether a she licks them on the cheek or hand, she has probably 'kissed' tons of people (and rats) by now. She also likes to give hugs, and giving people cookies.
As well as loving mistletoe, Espíritu has a fondness for sugar cookies with green sprinkles and/or icing. She only shares them with her best friends, or someone who looks like they need a cookie to cheer them up. Really, her mistletoe and cookies is the only thing she is really protective about. Mess with her mistletoe or cookies, and you're up to face one annoyed, yet somehow still happy, rat. No one knows why she likes sugar cookies so much, but she does. She also seems attracted to the color green, and especially loves green and red striped ribbon. If she sees green and red striped ribbon, she must have it, and will try to get to it no matter where it is. On the mantle, on a present, or simply floating around the house.
Espíritu is defiantly not an OCD rat. Her cage is rather... messy is not the right word... it looks like a tornado swept through it. Since Lemon always keeps the cage doors of her rats cages open, Espíritu has been known to pace in and out of her cage in the middle of the night, bringing little pieces of felt and ribbon into her cage. In the morning, you can't even find Espíritu, who is usually sleeping under all the stuff. Though you can't call her OCD, you can call her a hoarder. Her cage looks Christmasy all the time, and Eastery, and Halloweeny... you get the idea. She has so many different things from the different seasons in her cage, Lemon doesn't know how she sleeps comfortably in her cage, or where she got all the stuff!
What do you plan on doing with your rat?
Well, for one, I would spoil her rotten. She would be treated like a queen. She would be my baby, and my first unnaturally colored rat, since all my girls have natural colors. I would get lots of art of her, sketch her a lot in my sketchbook, and write stories about her (I already have a bunch of ideas XD)
She would have a post all to herself in my thread where I keep my Chitter Squeek Rattery rats, and she would be my little mistletoe girl. I would love her forever and never give her up. As you can see (if I still have it up while you read this) in my avatar is a pixel of my girl, Memoria. I would occasionally put her in my avatar and signature, and would give her as much attention as she wants. All in all, I can assure you she would be well cared for and much loved. When I first saw her, I loved her immediately, and I can't stand the thought of her gathering dust, which, if I won her, she defiantly would never get even a tiny bit dusty.
If you feel you can no longer care for your Rat, will you return it here to find a new home?
Yes
