~*~Why do you want to adopt~*~Well...if anyone were able to translate my username it would be read as 'silver fox'. That should tell many that I just love foxes to an obsessive amount. Not to mention the custom ratty I made for myself is a spirit fox which shows even more that I love foxes. So basically I just want to hug this little cutie that Oddly made and never let her go!
>u< Seriously, who wouldn't want an adorable fox ratty? I know I'd be crazy not to enter this round! Also Aoi would be a perfect friend for Youkai, my spirit fox rat. Youkai does not really talk to my other rats...in fact I only saw her socialize with Feng only!
;A;I seriously am hoping Youkai can warm up to Aoi, I'm sure she would love to have a girl as a friend so they can share secrets and other girly ideas.

Aoi is blue in Japanese. I'm sure we can see why I picked this name. ouo
~*~Personality~*~ Aoi seems to have a shy personality but at the same time she can be a real trickster. When I first saw her I noticed she was hiding in her cage. When I say hiding I meant she made a den like tunnel in the wood shavings of her cage. Whenever I came near she would dash into that tunnel and hide, but she did come out when I had food to offer her. It kinda made me a bit sad she might not trust me but I guess it's to be expected, after all I did just get her.
So like always I would let my darling rats run out and play out of there cages but when I opened Aoi's I did not see her leave. I got worried and went to look for her and found her already near the other rats...I wondered to myself how that happened so I set up a small camera inside a stuffed animal and left it near her cage. The next day I checked the camera and guess what I learned? Aoi was able to open her cage herself then lock herself back in! I saw in the tape Aoi using her small hands to grip the cages hook then with the help of her teeth she would unhook the lock of the cage and get out!
Then I noticed her in the tape messing around with my belongings, mainly my keys. Well I guess that explained the mystery of my keys vanishing ever so often, truthfully I'm glad it was her because I started believing for a moment it could have been a ghost.
>.>'Well regardless of her cunning mind and strange behavior of watching others rather then approaching them, I still love this silly girl. I do hope to help her learn to socialize but I know the best way to do that would be to let her learn from Youkai. Since those two seemed to have gotten along just fine, I guess it's because they are both foxes but regardless I'm happy to have her find a friend.
X3Hmm a strange part of her personality I've noticed is how Aoi rarely squeaks. Rather then squeaking she makes small bark like sounds or hisses and even yipping sounds. It makes her seem like a fox in a rats body, which would make sense seeing how shes partly fox. Aoi also has sharper teeth then the other ratties, her nips slightly hurt so I try not to get her upset to avoid getting nipped. At least she doesn't bite anyone, I guess she will bite only if she feels like shes in danger. Right now I need to gain her trust more to learn more about her, since she mostly hides around me more then around my other ratties.
v.v~*~Likes~*~♥ Aoi loves to listen to the stories Youkai tells her. This ratty would do just about anything just to hear the stories of spirits and deities that Youkai knows so well.
♥ Aoi seems to enjoy eating foods that are blue then any other foods. In fact some of her favorites are blueberries, the flavor blue raspberry, blue corn, blue potatoes, blue cheese, blue lobsters, etc.
♥ Aoi really really likes it when someone lightly massages her neck and back. She loves it so much that she would start to purr when someone does that!
♥ Another thing Aoi really loves is the 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy'. It is her most favorite music ever. She loves it so much that whenever it is playing she would dance to it though her dancing is mostly cute little twirls.
~*~Dislikes~*~❦ Aoi is frightened of sudden loud noises, like balloons popping. Whenever a sound like that happens she would make a yelp sound and hide under the nearing item she finds!
❦ Too much sweets is something she can't stand. Aoi likes some sweets but not many, she likes sour flavors a lot more then sweet flavors. The only sweets she can stand are sweet fruits.
❦ Aoi is deathly afraid of dogs and wolves. Whenever she see's one she would run away to the safely of her cage then hide out in her den. I guess its because foxes and dogs normally don't get along...but at least she does not mind cats.
❦ Aoi dislikes getting woken up from her nap. Whenever someone would try to wake her she tends to hiss and nip at there fingers until they leave her alone.
~*~Quirks~*~ One of the strangest quirks I saw in Aoi would be her reaction to socks...yes socks. When I leave my socks out in my room
(which I do often) I would find Aoi flinging them around! She would grab them and start running around with them only to slam them around all over before flinging them. It's almost as if shes wrestling my socks but at least she never lost to them yet. From every other rat I saw I think Aoi is the only one with this quirk and you know what, I'm happy that she is. It just makes me love her that much more!
X3~*~What do you plan on doing with your rat~*~ I thought of an awesome idea for Aoi which involves Youkai! I wanted to put them together in stories of them on little adventures, as well as roleplay them out. Besides everyone of my ratties I adopt from here are treated like characters because I love them so much. I also would love to draw her and Youkai together as a fox family. In fact I can already see Youkai mothering Aoi. It would be so cute!
X3~*~If you feel you can no longer care for your Rat, will you return it here to find a new home~*~The only way I would ever abandon her is the day I rest in peace 7 ft underground. Even if I ever get banned off CS or have no internet I will still find a way to take care of her along with my other ratties. Good thing that won't ever happen.
;3~*~Story~*~♥♥♥♥The clock just struck twelve, it is now officially the middle of the night. Aoi opens her dark grey blue eyes. It took her a moment or two just to get her eyes to focus in the dark. All she made out around her is the thin wooden shavings she had surrounded herself in. Her den felt more like a cocoon but not as suffocating besides it feels safer to her that way. After a little while of moving her limbs Aoi peeks her head out of the entrance of her den.
Not a single soul seemed to be awake. Soft sounds of snoring could be heard through out the room with an occasional squeak or cough. Aoi's caretaker seemed to be asleep, as well as her roommates. Normally the rats were put into groups of two or three in each cage but she was put in a cage alone, not that she minded. Aoi also noticed it was not just her, there is a mystery cage that seemed more suited for a bird in the room. But none of the other rats seemed brave enough to approach the birdcage, besides one rat and that rat is the very rat Aoi plans to visit tonight.
Carefully Aoi maneuvers around her toys and food bowl, after a little while she finds the door of her cage. Just like the other cages it had a fairly simple latch which Aoi would climb up to and use her teeth to unlock. She carefully griped the grid like metal of the cage and climbed up next to the door's latch. It was just a small hook which went into a part of the metal cage to keep the door shut. Using her teeth Aoi tugs at the hook until it pulled free from the cage, letting the cage door swing open.
Aoi held in an excited yip and quickly ran over to the cage near near her's. The cage seemed to be able to fit four rats without a problem but only two rats seemed to live in the cage together. Aoi sniffs the air, picking up the smell of the gray tabby cat like rat she met earlier that day. She remembered the name of that rat is Sebastien. She also remembered how he had been nice to her when the strange bird like rat in the birdcage had snapped at her. Sebastien is someone she felt she could trust but he is not the reason why she went over to that cage. No her reason was purely to visit the second person living in that cage, the strange rat who seemed to be a fox just like her.
Aoi remembered how she met the other fox rat, it was because of Sebastien. Sebastien thought it would be good for her to learn a thing or two from the wisest rat of the group. Aoi smiles as she recalled how she first feared the strange frown like mask and eery fox fires around the other fox rat, as well as how that rat was named Youkai. Aoi knew youkai meant demon which made her more afraid but the moment Youkai spoke to her it felt like a calm aura enveloped her. Youkai's voice had a calm and soft touch, at the same time the voice sounded wise and firm. It was then Aoi started visiting Youkai more and more, to hear the fantastic stories from the wise fox rat.
Sebastien sensed the young ratlet come into his and Youkai's cage, he lazily opens one eye which gave off a slight green glow against the dark. In a tried tone he tells Aoi "Youkai's in the bigger nest, she's waiting for you."
Aoi nods and tells Sebastien a quick thank you before rushing off towards the bigger nest which is at the back of the cage.
Sebastien just grins slightly at the young ratlet's enthusiasm then he went back to his slumber.
Aoi slows down as she spots Youkai's fox fires floating around. She once touched one of the fires and was surprised to see it felt cold rather then hot. It made her wonder why would it be called a fox fire if it felt more like ice then fire but that would be a question she would ask another time.
Soon she spotted Youkai's white and yellow fur against the dark of the cage. Slowly she creeps up next to the larger fox rat and asks in a childlike tone "What will you tell me about tonight?"
Youkai smiles softly under her mask at the question of the little ratlet. It has been a while since she last passed on her stories, normally it would be just her and Feng who had conversation. Youkai looks at the blue gray furred ratlet and answers to her "I shall tell you a story about the mononoke little one."
Aoi's ears perked up at the mention of a demon based story, she loved hearing about the demons of the past. She looks up at Youkai's strange red and gold marked black mask, noticing how Youkai's cerulean blue eyes seemed to be looking into her soul. Not wanting to wait Aoi quietly whines out "Please please start the story?"
Youkai lets out a soft chuckle and begins the tale of the mononoke.
