Where i feel at home

Postby welcome to carnival. » Fri Oct 05, 2012 7:38 am

Well i thought i'd try something different :D
I'm actually quite happy about how it turned out =D
For those who cant recognize (I bet there'll be a lot x)) from right to left:
A kettle, an armchair with a jacket hanging on the back of the chair, a table with a lily in a vase and 3 books on top and on the floor laying a book with a tie. :)
Comments and Critism highly apreciated!! :D

I thought of how Severus Snape's Room would look like while drawing this, I know it wouldn't like that at all, but that's why i drew a lily and a kettle :P :D

Oooo, I just love cross hatching styles like this <3 Magnificent for background concepts and sketches. It is, however, a little hard to make out some shapes. Up some dark values where they are needed to pop it out a little more, especially where an object isn't getting enough light. Like perhaps the side of the chair or the creases of the jacket. But that's the only thing I see that needs worked on in this. The perspective and angles are all tidy and correct and definitely is a great drawing <3

Fff, yourwelcome. I hoped I was being helpful rather than annoying xD I only wish to help you improve, because you have a lot of talent. You know, one day, I'd really love if we could collaborate together <3 Fff, although I should probably finish all these gifts and requests and such OTL. I need to stop adding stuff to my art list.

I'll definitely pm you when I get the time~ And haha, it really is hard for artists to get good critisism anywhere where there are many artists mangled and squished together. It's hard to get to everyone's art and give them constructive critisism all the time- even more so when the more experienced artists that are capable of constructive critisism have so little time on their hands. I try to lend a hand to fellow artists as much as possible, however.
