What are GoAs?
A GoA, also known as Guardian of Ahres, is a friendly wolf that hatches from a pearl. The pearl, also known as Ehlin, comes from the very deepest parts of the ocean, which is a mysterious, fascinating place called Ahres. The wolves first started hatching when a danger was foreseen by the gods of the sead. They crafted the wolves to guard and protect the beautiful, friendly environment of Ahres. GoAs come in all sorts of colours, but the colours never clash, and they always have at least one bright colour to fit their warm and bubbly personality. Their fur is sleek and smooth, but still very warm and soft to touch.
These wolves are very social. They mate once every year in spring, and the Ehlin grow in the mother's special pouch hidden under her soft belly fur. There are 2-3 pearls in every litter, although not all survive. The gestation takes 6 months. Once two wolves have mated, they are in love for life, unless very different circumstances. They can mate once they're 3 years old.
Their diet consists mainly of small fish and sometimes a crab or bird. They also eat plants and plankton when there are less fish than usual around. The wolves can breathe underwater without gills;a thin bubble of air surrounds them, so thin that you cannot see it.
GoAs grow at least up to the size of an average female wolf. The biggest ever was as big as an ox, although that is very rare. When they are 2 years old, they are fully grown. They can live to up to 100 years, sometimes longer.
Facts about GoAs
♥ GoAs can mate as often as they like, but only once every year.
♥ GoA Adults are on average the size of a grown up male wolf.
♥ GoA Teens are on average the size of a Cocker Spaniel.
♥ GoA Pups are on average the size of a Chihuahua.
♥ GoA Ehlins are on average the size of a football.
♥ When a GoA hatches, the Ehlin turns into a blanket with matching markings to their design. GoAs bury their design when they are 1 to show that they are moving on.
♥ The Ehlin shows the colours of the wolf inside it.
♥ The Ehlin breaks and turns into a blanket a month after it was laid by the mother. The pup has been born.
♥ The father finds food for the mother while she is in gestation.
♥ The Ehlin is buried in the sand after it is ready to come out from the mother's pouch.
♥ Every GoA has at least one bright colour matching their personality.
♥ Sometimes, not often, a GoA has something called YS, Youngling Syndrome. This means they will never grow up, and stay a pup forever.
♥ A plain GoA is often abandoned because it brings failure over the family. They are sometimes adopted by sympathetic GoAs.
♥ Every GoA has a pearl at the end of their tail and one on the forehead. If it doesn't, which is very rare, it is often called a "Nohlin".
How to adopt a GoA
To adopt one, just click on the GoA you'd like to adopt, and there will be some requirements for you to win it. There are different ways of adopting out a GoA. The artist decides on a way of adopting out. Artists, you may NOT use these for any kind of profit.

Every GoA starts as a Pup. Once won, the artist will gradually colour in the next stages until it is full-grown. If it has YS, the artist will only colour in up to the pup/teen stage (their choice). If there ever will be a breeding section, the litter will start as Ehlin. They may be kept if owners do not own 4 GoA, or given away as a gift, or given away in a competition.

♥ Be polite and patient. Kindness is always very helpful.
♥ Do not steal any designs, the species or the names in ANY way.
♥ Listen to the staff. They know what they're doing.
♥ Be respectful.
♥ Do not bribe the artists.
♥ Don't complain if you did not win the one you applied for.
♥ Care for your GoA! Don't let it gather dust.
♥ Do not sell your GoA. If you no longer want it, send it to our pound for someone else to take care of.
♥ You may not own more than 4 GoAs at all times, counting customs and pups from breeding, unless i allow you.
♥ Please to not complain here. PM me if you want to complain.
♥ Don't spam! Please, no Bumps, although a friendly sentence like "Interesting species! Bookmarking, I might adopt later c:" are welcome.
♥ You will be warned if you don't obey the rules.
♥ Three warnings and you may not post here again or adopt a GoA.
♥ Please do not beg or post sob stories to get a GoA.
♥ If you have any questions, read through the whole thread. If it's still not answered, post here and a member of staff will answer.
