Backstory: His mother died in a dark alleyway from a flesh-eating illness six months after his birth. He ran away from his alleyway home and was searching for 2 and a half years until he found a home in Ohu. His owners sold the house after about half a year, in which they left Shima behind and of course he went searching for a refuge or a home. He finds Windspirit (who names him) and goes through thick and thin to keep him safe just as his owners and mother did. Finally a rogue dog comes in and attacks them both and Akame takes them into Gajou, where they're healed and trained as Ou Soldiers.
