A New (and Horrible) Style

I tried doing a new style so it could look like there was fur. It. Looks. Horrible. d: It really does, and I do not plan on doing this again. The only things that aren't failing are the eyes and nose. Poor Blue is now my test subject of styles since she has a simple design. At least she's my favorite sona. Random background is random sine I had no muse when I drew this. My next draw will mostly be a rant about myself (maybe someone else and partly myself), or something after my newest fish, aka Remus but I have no clue on how I should make his armor-like scales.
The timer is incorrect by I have no clue how long but factor in letting my dog outside and searching for Roman themed aquarium decorations.

The ears are way too big as well. >.<
I need critique. If you have any idea of how I could improve this please say something. I'm usually way too hard on myself when I think about how good my draws are.
