Dr. David Livesy; If ever there was a fictitious character that actually lived...
Anyhoo, lately I've been reading Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Treasure Island', and I've noticed a recurring theme in what Dr. Livesy says. In this day and age, we would say something merely as - "I bet you...", or "I bet my bottom dollar...", but Livesy's equivalent is "But I'll stake my wig that...", which is why I love him ^_^
As soon as I noticed this, I was set about drawing the ambiguous side of it, i.e. an actual wig pinned on a wall via a wooden stake (hence the image above), and intended it to be traditional, but I just can't draw human bodies... Yet somehow, I managed to do it on here with my tablet...
I rarely fangirl over books, but this is one that is just amazing. The language is a little predated, but RLS was quite before my time to say the least.
I reckon the timer is accurate, however I did stop once or twice to get a drink ^_^ but I am quite proud of how this turned out *shrugs*. Critique and advice on drawing basic anatomy most welcome ^_^
