About the breed
What Is A Desert Fox...?
A desert fox is a common mammal, which strives in the harsh climate of the sahara desert. It is often confused with the fennec fox, being similar in shape and size, but don't let that fool you! Desert foxes are much more lively and affectionate. Also another distinguishing fact about these creatures are their eyes. Some Desert Foxes have plain white eyes, while all others have neon colored eyes, which vary from yellow to pink.

What do they eat...?
The diet of a Desert fox varies from scavenged meat to bugs. One thing these lovely creatures should never eat is cactus pears. Rarely are these mammals seen eating fruit.

Facts about the breed
-males are 2- 4.5 feet long, while females are 1-2.7 feet long.
-Whichever male has the brightest eyes, is likely going to attract a female during mating season.
-Unlike most creatures, Desert foxes breed in fall.The reproduce in winter so their young don't have to suffer through the harsh summer.
-In sandstorms, Desert foxes can actually burrow into the sand within seconds.
-The length for a baby, or a kit otherwise known, is 7- 12 inches long.
