Transparent Guide

Postby RockyMountain » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:44 pm

Yes, this is Rocky's transparent guide! X3 Please, mods, anyone, if this has already been created, please let me know and I will delete all the transparent info! Please don't lock this, just inform me. Thank you!

So, you want to know how to make your art transparent, correct? Well, smoothien, you've come to the right place! Here, Rocky will teach the lessons to get your art transparent! Quite simple, really.

Step 1. First, draw your little picture thing whatever.
Step 2. Finish your little drawing thing, then make layer 1, (first layer you get when you first open Oekaki) unvisible. (You can't see it. Click that little gray button left to where it says, "layer 1".)
Step 3. Your almost done! Post your image first.
Step 4. Right click, (I believe it's right click, :l) on your now posted/unposted oekaki, hit, "Copy image URL", put it in a new tab.
Step 5. Follow the URL. You enter a plain white screen, with your picture to your left. Do you see, "auto" at the end? If so, change it to, "png".
Step 6. Now, just post it! Here:

Image WOAH! Rocky made it too big! :?

Well, not so fast. No getting upset. Your not done! Do you see, "Large&Format" at the end of the URL? Change that to any size you'd like. Here:

Image WHOOPS. Too small! Again, don't get upset. Your still not done! Rocky made a mistake. I put small! There are 4* sizes. Theres: Small. (Good for Avatars.) Medium. (Good for Signatures.) Large/Big. (Good for, well. Nothing?) Here are what the 3 sizes look like!:

Yay! Your done! X3

Wait. You want more? Well, Rocky's GOT MORE!!

So, you want a transparent picture, with no white behind the picture, with a small background, lines, color, but want it to be easy? Well, it is easy! It's the exact same as getting the regular transparent picture. But, you add something. You just add another layer, add it behind your lines, colors, but NOT layer 1! You add it on top of layer 1. It's that simple! Then just follow the steps at the top. (: Hope this helped everyone!

*Thank you, ~Bullet~ for letting me know there's actually 4! XD

You may not know, but there are four sizes. There is gallery, after medium. Don't worry, when I figured out how to change the size, unless a picture demonstrated the sizes, I would never have guessed~ ;3

It's also different for various computers.

Here are the instructions I have:

How To Make Your Picture's Background Transparent:

There is only one way to go about doing this. Listen carefully and make sure you do EVERY step or it won't work!

Step 1:
Remove the background on your picture before saving it.

Step 2:
Once posted, right-click on your image and go down on the options to "Image Properties," "Properties," or "View Image Info." This is located near the bottom of the options that appear.

Step 3:
Once you are in the Properties[An extra window will pop up], right-click on the link that is highlighted automatically and click "Copy." *IT IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED FOR ME, BUT IT IS THE SECOND LINK*

Step 4:
When you get the link, paste it in the IMG code bars()

Step 5:
This part can be tricky. When you get your code together, look near the end of the URL you just pasted. It should have "format=auto". Change "auto" to "png."

Step 6 (Added by me =w=):

To make the picture pastable anywhere, just grab the link, and shove it into a code box. Copy the link, and past it where you like. 8D

To change the size of it, just change the word (in the link) from 'large' to 'medium', 'gallery', or 'small'! Huzzah~
