Stage 3, colouring.
First you do a rough colour on a separate layer below the line layer, it's okay to go outside of the lines as long as you erase it. You can then use lock alpha to colour in patterns. The lock alpha only allows you to colour in what you already have on that layer.
Next stage, shading.
