33Kitty's Guide to Shading! (For Charchar2)

Postby 33Kitty » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:00 am

Yay, I finally got this up! Anyways, I'll put more writing and stuff here in a sec, I just need to finish 3 more math problems...
Okay, I'm done. Now for credits and that boring stuff.
Lines by Charchar2.
Tutorial by 33Kitty. (+Shade map and instructions, +Coloring layer w/ Alpha Lock, +[Blank]Shading Layer and instructions, +Illumination Map and Explanations)

This tutorial covers basic hard cell shading, (That's right- No highlighting is covered as of the moment. This. Is. SHADING! ;D) as I call it, anyways, on a cute little chibi-esq wolf drawn by Char.

Good luck, Char! If you have any questions, just post, okay?

Hmmm... Should part two be highlights (You know, all shiny-bubble-candy) or soft shading?

We're both aboard on an airship as it flies
And it's chasing for a star hiding from our eyes
And before all our feelings will subside
Let's escape past the air, the atmosphere

My eyes they looked into the night sky a bit too much
And then found light it turned into a painful touch
If this world will keep on spinning in the time ahead
You should go and find a reason to live on instead
Saying bye this afternoon is really too soon

Hmm...that's a hard one. I'd love some about highlights, but soft shading would be really nice to learn too...hm, I'll have to think about that one.^^
Thanks so much! I'm coloring right now!^^

Would you mind doing soft-shading? I've been trying to figure that out for a while. :3

Yeah, it's next on the list, after the spazzy-dodge-burn-flail tutorial I'm currently doing.
