Well, I said I was going to redo the picture below, and I did!
Only I think it turned out a bit better!
To your far left is the male called "Fluffy", who appeared at the end of The Lion King. Over the years there's been a lot of speculation about him- what happened to him? Was he Kopa from the books? Or was it really Kiara like Disney claims? No one knows the right answer. A lot of people argue that the cub was actually a girl, due to the fact it had colored ear rims while cub Simba did not (this is highly unlikely due to the fact that at Kiara's presentation, she didn't have ear rims, although more people argue that she was "older" in the scene then Fluffy or Simba... I thought she was just fat). And, Fluffy had a tuft of fluff on his head, most likely indicating his gender to be male. Personally, in my TLK fan universe, he's actually Kopa, but I just thought it would be fun to draw all the different "cubs" Simba and Nala have had.
Next to him is Kopa, who appeared after TLK came out, only he had his own book series, making him "semi-canon", and not completely true in the TLK world. I, on the other hand, am a fond believer of the "Zira kills him then gets exiled to the Out Lands" theory. But that's only my personal thoughts... I really hated drawing him. I kept re-drawing, and re-drawing, but none of the times he looked right, so I finally gave up and stuck with the current lines you see. I made his colors more orange-y... why, though, escapes my mind... Oh well, they look fairly nice on him.
Well.. then comes Kiara, and you all know who she is. Not much of a fan anymore. Her colors, gosh I just hate them, they're so dull and gross.. But yes, Kiara...
And then little Thelu! I was sorta getting tired of all the Simba clones, so I gave Nala a son that gave her credit, because she really deserved some ^-^ He only exists in my TLK fan world, for all of you who might ask who he is, and is born shortly before Kovu and Kiara take over as King and Queen of Pride Rock. Unfortunately his parents with die while he is still a teenager, but will find love in the future!
Whew, lots of work, but fun! Very fun! And the manes, hmm?? Getting better I think.. Comments and critique welcomed!!
