What are these mystical creatures called Strawpalopes?
Why are they called "Strawpalopes"?
Strawpalopes are fluffy dragons that exist in a magical town called Strawpalopia! This little town is well known for their delicious strawpalope crops. (Strawpalopes are a fruit that have both flavor and appearance of a strawberry and a canalope combined.) Strawpalope Dragons are very protective about these crops, that are the main food source of Strawpalopia. If you visit Strawpalopia you will find strawpalope pie, ice cream, cake, candy, pancakes, frosting, and their famous rainbow strawpalope pudding! (They love sweets! :3 ) Even though they don't like fighting and are very gentle giants, they are very determined to save this crop. This is why they are often called the Great Guardians of Strawpalopia.
Strawpalope Features
Strawpalopes live up to 650 years old! They are also known to be in three different sizes, giant, regular, and miniature. The average full grown adult can be up to 5 ft. standing on all four paws and 8 ft. standing on hind legs. The average full grown female can be up to 4 ft. on all four and 6 ft. on hind legs. Strawpalope Dragons have wings, but only come out when their paws have no contact to the ground. They can't control this instinct. Strawpalope's eyes often change color when feelings and emotions dramaticly change. So often there is no reason or way to hide your feelings if your a strawpalope.
Mating
These dragons are cold blooded so they do lay eggs. It takes 11 months for eggs to form. The most amount on eggs ever layer was 8 eggs, but it is most likely to have 5. In occasion there will be twins, but this rarely ever happens. Once strawpalopes find their mate, they are mates for life. If one of them dies it is uncommon for them to find another mate, because these dragons can easily be emotionally attached to others.
