Introducing the LoxCommon Name: Lox
Scientific Name: Equus loxodonta
Singular/Plural Forms: Lox is both the singular and plural form
Habitat: varies by type
The Lox comes in three different types - Plain, Frilled, and Furry. All Lox types can breed with one another. Lox males are larger than females. Males can reach up to thirteen feet tall at their shoulder and weigh up to six tons. They have larger tail blades than females. Females can reach up to eleven feet at their shoulder and weigh up to four tons. They have smaller tail blades than males, and also have udders with which they feed their young.
Lox are born as eggs and hatch after a week of being incubated. Batches of Lox eggs typically have one to three eggs, but occasionally they can have four. Females will create a mound of dirt, leaves, and general outdoor debris in which to bury their eggs after laying them. They do this because they cannot sit on their eggs without crushing them. Female Lox will curl up around their nest until the babies hatch. Their mates will usually bring them food during this time, since the female is very protective of her nest.
Lox are herbivores. They use the sharp blades (which are made of bone) on their prehensile tails to cut down tree branches. Their tail blades are also useful for protecting themselves against predators, though they aren't preyed on by many animals because of their size. Males will use their tail blade to fight one another to gain or keep dominance over a herd or to win a mate.Types
Plain Lox
Plain Lox have no frills, no thick fur, and no scales. They are similar to elephants in that their skin is covered in bristly hairs. Since most of what you see is their skin, Plain Lox are always natural colors - browns, blacks, grays, and whites. They live in savannahs and tend to take mud baths quite often to keep themselves from being sun burned.Frilled Lox
Frilled Lox have frills along their backs. The frills on the males are bigger than those of the female. They are covered in little, tiny scales, which are difficult to see unless up close. Because they have scales, Frilled Lox come in all sorts of brilliant colors - from natural colors like black and brown to more unnatural colors like red and blue. They live in jungles and rainforests and thrive on ferns found there.Furry Lox
Furry Lox are covered in fur, which is how they got their name. Because they have fur, Furry Lox come in all sorts of colors - from natural colors like black and brown to more unnatural colors like red and blue. They live in cold, snowy climates like Alaska and Antarctica. The more unnaturally colored Furry Lox live in cool places where it doesn't snow quite as much, otherwise they'd stick out in all the white snow.

_____Every CS pet equals a certain amount of Eggshells. Eggshells are the currency that allows you to buy eggs, customs, breedings, and items from the Item Shop. You can send trades at any time to save up Eggshells. Note: Please make sure to notify me in your trades that it is for Nest of the Lox! Your Eggshell amount will be recorded in the Eggshell Bank below. If you think the amount listed for you in the Bank is wrong for some reason, DO NOT post that you think your amount is wrong. That is the sort of thing that should be discussed over PM, so please PM me about your concern.
_____All items in the Item Shop cost a certain amount of Eggshells. Most items are 1x use (meaning you use it once and it's gone). There are two different forms for buying items, so make sure to use the right one! Accessories will be added later on if there is interest for them. I'm thinking of having things such as hats and scarves, necklaces, feather accessories, etc. If you are interested in having accessories or have suggestions for accessories I could add, please say so.
_____I prefer Wishlist pets at the moment, but I will accept non-Wishlist pets as long as they are from 2008 to 2010. You are welcome to pay with hoard pets, but hoard pets are not that important to me, so their Eggshell amount is very low. A large majority of my hoard pets are uncommons or lower from 2011 and 2012.I will not accept rats unless they are on my Wishlist.
I will not accept spiders AT ALL, so please don't offer them.
Dogs and Wishlist pets are preferred, but are not necessary!
Pets that are not Wishlist MUST be from 2008 to 2010!
I will not accept commons or uncommons that are not on my Wishlist!

What are Lox?
Look at the Species Info section above! It will tell you all you need to know about Lox.
What times do you release?
Whenever I get a chance and feel like making some batches.
Who are your Guest Artists?
Currently, I don't have any guest artists, and I'm not looking for any right now.
I will announce when I'm looking for guest artists. It might be a little while.
How much do you charge for your adoptables?
Regular adopts are 300 Eggshells. Customs and Breedings are both worth 1000 Eggshells.
You can always check the Payment section to see how much the adoptables are.
What are Eggshells?
Eggshells are the currency used to buy eggs, Customs, breedings and items in the shop.
When you adopt a Lox, you just might win some free Eggshells from your hatchling!
How many Lox can we adopt in total?
You can adopt as many Lox as you want! There's no maximum limit!
How often can we adopt?
You can adopt one Lox per week. This gives everyone a chance to get some.
Can we get custom Lox?
Custom Lox aren't "custom" in the usual sense of the world. I don't do Lox based on reference images.
Instead, you give me a list of colors and markings and I put together a unique design based on that.
Before requesting a Custom, please make sure to check to see if Custom Slots are actually open.
Can we breed our Lox?
Of course! You'll need to make sure your Lox has a breeding ticket before it can breed, though.
Breeding tickets can be found in the Item Shop, along with other special breeding items!
You have two options when breeding. You can breed your own Lox, or partner up with someone else!
Before requesting a Breeding, please make sure to check to see if Breeding Slots are actually open.
