NOW FOR STARTERS....
Okay.
So recently I have been seeing oodles of neon bright characters. The other project, Bright is Better, hasn't helped.
Note, I do not in any way dislike BiB.
It seems now that brights are taking over, people think all dark characters are moody and depressed. I've made this to disagree.
Just because a character is dark does not mean it's evil or sulky! It's just like bright characters, just because something's bright doesn't mean it's bubbly and outgoing! I have a few brighter characters that are emotionless, or friendless, or anti social. Some of my dark characters are the bubbly ones!
Also, dark is easier on the eyes and more complex designs can pass by without being tagged as 'too much'.
So here, I and other hired artists will be designing and adopting out dark characters.
These characters will show how beautiful dark can be, and that it doesn't mean it's a bad character.
My goal is to show that dark is delightful, and can be just as outgoing and lovely as bright.

These will be 'for-bid' pets, you bid to win one. If you want to though, artists, you can mix it up some and make it a story competition for the character, or an art one. Anything is fine. You can give one away for free if you'd like, but don't give too many away.
Each artist can set their own price, and must draw their own lines. Any species is allowed.

No stealing designs.
please don't take my idea, I've seen many fake BIBs, and I don't want fake DiDs.
don't claim designs as your own.
unless the artist gives an O.K, don't alter the design much.
fill out the form the artist gives completely.
do not beg or whine for one, many will be created.
do not insult designs.
you may resell if the artist gives an O.K.
if there is an art form, art theft will not be tolerated. You will be put on the black list and will not be able to adopt again.
if there is a story form, do not take other people's ideas for character stories.

I am still hiring; but now I'm looking for intermediate designers and artists. To make it now, you must have at least 3 images in Intermediate. If you consider yourself intermediate but tend to stick to other sections, tell me and I'll consider.
BUT WAIT.
Don't use Oekaki often? You can still apply! Just upload your image and stick it in the link of the picture with something saying 'link below'. Traditional and digital are fine.
Also, for both applying artists and current artists;
You must post at least 1 creation every 2 weeks. If you don't, I'll consider you unactive and cut you from the team. Now, if you're going on vacation or have a busy time ahead just tell me, I understand all of you have lives.
Also, if I don't reply to your application, that means you're not hired. I don't like straight up saying no. ;-;

This is for those people who are amazing at designing, but can't make their own lines so well. What I'll do is this;
Color in lines somewhere.
Pm design to me.
I will draw that design onto the species you choose.
When I'm done, I'll post it. (You tell me if it's for bid, or form fill out, or what)
Payment will go to you, not me. You will be credited for the design.

Contest!
Okay, the first refs of Madoka have been posted.
As you can see, it's on lined paper, and it isn't colored.
I will hold two contests, each person may enter once!
First contest;
Color scheming!
You will see that Madoka's ref are not colored. You get to choose the colors! The person who wins will get a custom DiD adopt.
If you enter this you will color design both his dormant and demonic form, since his dormant form doesn't have much to color.
This will be chosen on coloring skill, not drawing skill.
Now, for the markings, they don't have to be black like they are in the image. I only colored them so you'd be able to see them easily. The color scheme, of course, should be dark. x3
Second, after the winner of color has been chosen;
Drawing competition!
This pretty much is straight up.
You will draw Madoka in either form, his personality changes with each. This one, of course, will be judged on art.
Personality background!:
Well, you need to know something about him in order to draw him with the right emotions! Madoka has two forms; dormant and demonic.
In dormant form, he's not really in tune with the world. He just wanders around aimlessly, not really knowing where he's going or why. He doesn't think much in this form. He's very emotionless like this and therefore isn't capable of feeling anything. Well, except pain, which leads to the next form.
Demonic form is much different. He becomes extremely alert to his surroundings, smart as a tack, and a brutal killer. He is anything but the mindless dormant form. He shifts into this form when he hunts for food or when he is being hunted by something. As said, in this form he will kill anything in his path. You will see in the refs that his markings change, as well as a couple other things. The spikes you will see on his neck actually help him sense his surroundings, each of them can be compared to a radar.
Even though it would seem odd, he prefers dormant form. Although he doesn't know his emotions much, he;s actually a caring canine that doesn't like killing streaks. Because of this, he'd rather be mindless for the majority of the time than brilliant but violent.
Now for the refs!:
