Her eyes flew open. The first thing she saw was the ceiling of the church and a dark haired boy.
"Am I...alive?" she whispered.
"We prefer the term 'awake'," the boy said, "since you're still considered clinically dead."
"What?! Th-that's not possible!" she stammered,"I...I was hit by a car!"
He smiled,
"Hate to break it to you, my dear, but if it were impossible do you think I'd be here talking to you?"
