"Do you want a pillow at least?" Travis asked. "I cant offer much more than that without risking getting in a boat load of trouble for it, and if I get in trouble, you get put in someone else's care. Not everyone here is as nice as I am."

Ooo,maybe there should be an attack? 030 maybe she manages to escape during the chaos,but not too late after that she's caught again?))

Hildegard shook her head "I'm fine" she said quietly . The girl finally closed her eyes fully but she wasn't sleeping. Yes,she did trust him more than this soldier, Nick but it was defiantly not enough to fall asleep in his presence.

((The attack sounds good, but with her constantly escaping, I think that would make this a little more difficult because they would have to be rougher and that would probably ruin their future relationship...))


Travis sighed and sat down where Nick had been sitting. This nurse was stubborn. Was it a German thing maybe? Maybe all Germans were super stubborn. He sighed again and looked around, quickly growing bored. What was there to do when guarding two sleeping prisoners?

I did think about that too,but it would also create a lot of action. In the chaos she manages to escape and gets into closer German base,where she finds her father as well. But not too much time passes and he leaves,the allies attack and they don't win,the place remains under German control but while on her way to some bunker ir something she bumps into those two again.What do you think?))

Hildegard ran hand trough her blonde hair and opened her eyes angrily. She felt stared,like somebody's watching at her. Travis wasn't, but he was still in the same room , 'guarding' her and Erik,the blind soldier,which was enough. She walked to a window not too far and started outside.

Nick hadn't managed to find a bed, so he settled for some hay in a barn. It at least had some shelter from the weather and muted out some of the noise. Exhaustion took over right away and he fell asleep quickly, but was haunted by nightmares already of things that had happened to him.

Travis tapping his fingers against his knee to the beat of some song he had heard on the radio back home before he left. There really wasn't much about the song that had stood out, but it had a very catching beat.

Hildegard was staring trough the window when she saw something in the bushes. Soon she realized it was a soldier hiding and using the night ,so he couldn't be seen. He motioned her to stay quiet and so she did. Probably the cross on her arm must've tell him she was no ally. Soon she saw a few more in the bushes and she calmly backed off from the window. A few moments after that airplanes, probably bombers could be heard. There weren't much, just enough to scare the Americans. Hildegard just couldn't hold a smile that escaped on her lips as she glanced to Travis. They both knew what this meant,they were under attack. Which was good for the nurse,and not so good for the soldier . There were now screams and gunshots as well. She was called by the blind soldier,who whispered something in her ear,she just nodded.

Nick was startled awake by the sound of enemy planes and gunfire. He scrambled up and made a run for the door, getting out just as the barn exploded. He was still thrown in a air a few feet from the force of it, and he landed roughly on the ground, winded and aching.

Travis leaped up to his feet, completely serious as he told the prisoner's to get out of the building and wait for outside. They had to get out before the building would blownup. He grabbed the one-legged Nazi, not really gently, but not painfully rough either, and forced him out of the building to side of the house were he kicked open a bomb cellar, and forced him inside. Then he turned around, hoping to find the nurse so he could get her inside too.

Hildegard just waited to be outside and for the soldier to look away when she ran away. She hid in the forest and kept running,hearing the gunshots not too far. Soon one of the Nazi soldiers instructed her back to the base,she thanked him and walked ahead unit she saw the German base,sighing in relief.

It wasnt long before the Germans had overtaken the Allies. Most of them retreated, but they managed to capture Nick, who was still too dazed to get up and do anything. Travis saw them take his friend and wanted to go after them and get him back, but he was dragged along with the rest of the allies out of the area. They had to leave the other prisoner in the cellar.

Nick was thrown roughly to the ground when the German's returned to their camp. He had a gash om his forehead and there blood in the corners of his lips, as if he had bitten his tongue. They tied his hands together and then tied his ankles tightly to a tree. He could still stand up and walk around, but only about three feet from the tree. His old wounds were aching and he was pretty sure he had a broken rib or two as well. Once the Germans walked away from him, he crawled on his knees to the tree, turned around, and leans his back on it, closing his eyes as blood dripped down his face. This would be the second time he had been taken prisoner. The first time was his first plane crash in the beginning of the war, but he had escaped with a few British POWs. Then he had headed back to the airbase, found his paratrooper company, and went back to fight. He had stayed good for a while, until his last jump, which had serevely wounded his legs, leaving him with a limp that would never go away. Now he prisoner again, and he was sure that once they found the records and realized he had been a POW before, that he would either be killed or sent to a higher security prisoner.

((Maybe she see him there and tries to mock him somehow, but he just keeps repeating the same thing?))

Hildegard changed into newer and cleaner uniform and brushed her hair,making it on a long braid. She took a deep breath and left the room she was given to meet her father. He smiled and hugged her "Did they hurt you?" The nurse shook her head."I'm alright..." she looked at his emotionless face."You have to go don't you?" She sighed, looking down. The General stood there ,watching down at his daughter "I have to,but don't worry ,we'll meet again. Now go ahead and check on the new prisoners we've bring and if you'll see the one the one who took you in that base,let somebody know." He ordered and left the place. Hildegard headed to the room with the prisoners and soon opened the door,entering.
