My brother's been watching me play Undertale for a while now, and I've just finished the True Pacifist route again. When it got to the part when you saved someone else after saving your friends, he shouted 'HEATS FLAMESMAN! SAVE HIM!'.

SAD THEORY TIME

I'm not entirely sure if this is considered to be spoilers, but here's a warning just in case it is.

The other night after talking with a friend of mine about different headcanons for some of the characters, I ended up coming with an idea. So imagine a specific time line where Papyrus was the only one who was killed. Things end up as they normally would in that point and time, but here's the kicker. What if the player never pressed the reset button for that specific time line? How would Sans react?
I'm fairly sure that at first Sans would be bothered by Papyrus turning into dust, but because of the reset he would just push along through it. After a few days he would start panicking as to why nothing was reset. Gradually he would most likely accept the reality that things wouldn't change for the better this time, and would wear Papyrus' scarf in an attempt to feel less alone. He would become more and more isolated, refusing to talk verbally or even physically to anyone. Additionally, Sans would also stop smiling all of the time. After all, there would be no point in keeping someone happy if they were dead.

I was going to draw a bunch of UT-themed dog pets for an adoptables event, but Oekaki ahem I mean Java screwed up for me and I can't use it again well technology can really suck sometimes
