Smile looked at the other dog. She seemed to have caught a fish. Smile turned and watched the fish again, waiting to strike. He had decided to wait until they were closer together, then grab one in his jaws.

"So why have you come to our territory?" Wire said in a stern voice. He was trying to sound bigger than he was, and he wouldn't be afraid to fight if the dog got out of hand.

"Ive come to join your pack. " she said looking at him. Her chest puffed out showeing that she wasnt afraid and not going to be pushed over

Wire flicked an ear as he stared up at the other dog. "Raptor is out right now," he said gruffly. "You'll need to wait until she gets back." He gazed around the area quickly then looked back to Jes. "Who knows where she went. You can wait here, in view of myself, or leave and come back later when she's actually here. Your choice, dog." He patiently awaited an answer from her.
Basil spotted the other dog nearby and gazed over, waiting to see what he was doing. She chuckled as she noticed that he was also trying to fish. 'I wonder if he's been trained to do this,' she thought as she laid down to eat. She was trained to hunt fish for her owner, who had loved to make seafood dishes. She watched silently to see if the other dog could catch something.

Smile flicks his ear. He puts his paws on the water, guiding the fish into a section where he can corner them. It was uncomfortable with the other dog watching, but he ignored her and concentrated.

Basil continued to watch him. His methods were different than hers, yet useful in a small lake like this one. She was used to hunting in the ocean, where there are no corners to use. She had to 'snap fast or snap last,' as she often said. That saying didn't really make sense to anybody, but it did to her, and she often used it to motivate herself when needed. She continued to gnaw on her fish as she watched the other dog.

I snap and manage to impale a fish on my long teeth. I flick my tail and drop it, where it flaps around and dies. I turn my attention back to the other fish.

Basil chuckled at the other dog's impatience. He's lucky these fish are so... Docile, she thought as she grinned to herself. Sea fish were crazy enough for her. She finished off her fish and stood to her paws, stretching her limbs.

jes nodded her head, " then i shall wait. can i stay some where while i do?" she stepped forward her tail held down

Wire nodded briskly. "Yes," he said. "Follow me." He turned around and began to walk back, glancing behind him to make sure the other dog was watching. "I'm Wire, by the way," he barked as he did so.

she followed him, " i am jesie, but just call me jes." she said looking around her and watching for ambushers. she didnt feel like fighting today.
