nicoletta tsokanis was born from a long line of greeks and italians in boston, ma. she was raised with a massive family which meant she had been brought up with a lot of love. she loves her family and her heritage, but has always been a bit of a free spirit. after working hard balancing straight a's and a social life, she decided to go off to college and fly the nest. she enrolled in a prestigious college with a scholarship and majored in pre-veterinary science.

nic thought her life was set in stone. she'd go to undergrad, then vet school, marry her high school sweetheart and pop out a couple of kids later. a decently happy life. but she's matured enough to know life doesn't work out the way you want. something surprising struck, and that was the zombie apocalypse. it happened so suddenly and nicoletta hardly can grasp how things went to sh-t so quickly. she spent the first year of the post-apocalypse scavenging for food, learning to survive in the wild, and taking care of her family and friends. she put her skills as a one year vet student to work with healing animals as well as humans. everything was going well enough for them, despite the whole living dead thing. the world must have decided things were going too well for it's liking, and nicoletta was taken from her family. in the middle of the night she was looking for firewood, a stupid idea as she looks back, was jumped and taken far away from her loved ones. she managed to escape the people who took her, for they weren't too smart and she quickly broke their zip ties, but she could not relocate her family.

nicoletta has a heart for justice and is very courageous. she won't stand idly by if something she fears is not right is happening. she can be fiery, but mainly more laid-back and calm. the twenty two year old can be aligned with the neutral good. she is bold, and not afraid to speak her mind, yet to a fault. when you first meet her she'll seem a bit distant, for she likes to listen rather than speak. nicoletta makes first impressions and sticks with them, so she will be analyzing you at first glance. this automatic impression makes her resentful and stubborn, as she does not let things go easy. she also makes very rash, impulsive decisions based solely on her emotions.

nic is very loyal. it's been grilled into her mind as a greek-italian to never go against the family. her family and relationships mean everything to her; once a bond is formed she will forever honor it, no matter what happens. another trait gained from her upbringing is her ability to hold a grudge. do one bad thing to her or someone she cares for once, and she'll never forget it. this makes her a bit headstrong and bullheaded.

noah hale was born to a filipino father and an irish mother. he lived his first days in new jersey and then moved to rhode island, where lived until he was five. his father was in the military so their family had to move around quite a bit. he found making friends irrelevant, because he would just go and move months later and the relationship would fizzle out. noah was a pensive child, always seeming well beyond his years. he is thoughtful and analytical and feels things deeply. usually when confronted with a problem he will think of any possible solution and weigh the options carefully.

noah found his favorite place to live was deep in the mid west. it was quiet, hot, and had loads of opportunities for him. it was there he learned how to fend for himself through hunting and surviving off nature. he stayed there until he turned eighteen, where he planned to attend a university close to home so he could take care of his mother. his parents were, to be blunt, bums. his mother drank the day away and his father was out with his numerous mistresses. noah learned to keep away from his house as much as he could. the woods were his refuge.

noah made friends, and had girlfriends (he was very much involved with his girlfriends). noah was known for being a bit of a player - gorgeous, unruly black hair, a nice body, high cheek bones, and a perfect smile. people flocked to him for his appearance, yet are often turned off by his personality. noah used to be a ruthlessly sarcastic and arrogant man. he used the faux cockiness to mask the insecurities he truly felt. if someone stuck around long enough, they would uncover the softer side of him. after the apocalypse and losing his parents, he grew into a much more mature man. he's created a hard shell to protect himself.

everthing changed for noah two years ago. he was looking at colleges to finally break off from his parents so he was out in the library the whole night researching. when he got home around ten, the house was deathly silent. no fighting, no television absently on in the background, no lights on. he crept as slowly and quietly as possible, deeper into the walls of his home. just as noah began to climb the steps, the sound of hissing and groaning started up and was getting close to him. the creature, human - he wasn't sure - went after him immediately. he'll always remember the skin, cold as ice against his pulse. after a long, drawn out fight Noah knocked the zombie off and out of the window. little did noah know, that creature was a walker and his parents were both gone.

though he didn't care much for his parents, they were still his parents, and weeks following the apocalypse noah trained himself to survive this and kill as many as possible. he ended up in his current group, where he quickly climbed the rank to lieutenant. he is very protective of the group and would die for most of them.
