Desdemona's father died when she was three, and her mom never really got over it, resorting to drugs and alcohol. Desdemona had to take care of her abusive mother, so she hardly went to school. When she turned 16, her mother finally died from a drug-induced suicide, leaving a note behind. The note claimed the Desdemona had killed her, so Desdemona ran away, only to be found by this asylum. She woke up a few days later, feeling odd. She later found out that she had been injected with stingray DNA.

She is very quiet and mostly keeps to herself, since she's convinced that everyone hates her. Because of this, she pretends that she doesn't care and hides behind a hypothetical mask of arrogance. If you can get her to be herself, consider yourself lucky.
