Oh, yes, there's always primitive call. It's under development still.

It's going to have better graphics than Feralheart, I've seen one of the sneak previews of the scenery. It's going to be a game where you can roleplay, or claim your territory and hunt for your pack. A roleplaying and sim game at the same time.

yes and to think primitive call is actually doing recent updates where as arokai has had none in the past year or so.

There's also Stone Rage, again, under construction, but they've released a gameplay trailer. You can play as an animal in it. It's going to be two things-PvP and simulation.

Yes.. The company that made Okami got shut down, I think.

With the Stone Rage, originally the animals were NPCs, but then they decided you could play animals aswell, out of a choice of 6. c:

Actually, Arokai is not abandoned.


Their Deviantart was hacked, and they have made an official forum and a tumblr, which are both very active. Just to let you know.

Aro'kai is not abandoned, they would have made an announcement if it was. Super did go on a bit of hiatus for a while, and there was the issue with the hack and the imposter, but its over with now so the game is being worked on. She's been developing the current version of Aro'kai and plans on putting up some development screenshots soon. She even recently released the old feline marking demo that was originally for staff.

And yes, there have been updates.

FeralHeart and Impressive World/Sanctum of Eventide/etc are about the only decent MMORPG games that are out at the moment. Sometimes I find FeralHeart to be annoying from all the drama-crazed morons running about but I've learned to enjoy it.

Fly like a bird is a pretty cool game at first, but it gets very boring after a while. All you do is fly around, eat, build a nest, and raise your babies...and poop on other players. Fly like a bird is so frustrating in multiplayer mode because everyone flies around and will poop on you multiple times before you have time to respond and kill you, so that you are forced to get booted off the map and have to log back in. I hate the game because of that :I

There are PLENTY of free animal MMORPG games...In-Development. The problem with games In-development is that they hardly ever make it past concepts and a bit of modeling :P Its just too much work. An example is Aeon Phase, it had potential to be a great game, but it died in the concept/modeling stages. Another example is Reptilian, I loved the concepts but it died in the concept/modeling stages too.

Another game in-development, Stray, has been going on forever, and they're still at the concept/modeling stages as far as I can tell. However, they clearly have determination, so maybe Stray will actually come through.

Stray is basically going to be a game where you can roam the streets as a realistic cat or dog. Again, I'm not certain on how much progress they've made in all these years though. This is their youtube channel. Here is the official description:

A couple of their staff-members quit a while ago to go work on a different MMO, called Decerto. I have no clue what they're about though.
