Patricia Rose Grey & Nat

Name: Patricia Rose Grey
Nickname(s): Patsy, Pat, Trixie (rarely used)
Age: 19
Gender: Female

Personality: Patsy is first and foremost a very outspoken girl. Though she has
been taught manners by her various foster homes, she has also been taught
to never hold back and be the most authentic version of herself. This results
in her always meaning what she says and saying what she means, finding it
difficult to lie about anything unless that lie protects someone. Patsy is naturally
very protective, having grown up around those younger than her who have
been less equipped to defend themselves. She doesn't believe in trying to be
someone you are not, and has learned to be proud of who she is, who cares
about what ignorant people have to say about her? She always repeats the
mantra that peoples opinions of her are none of her business, so other's negat-
ivity roll off her like water off a ducks back. Of course her pride and outspok-
enness lead to the more negative side of her in that she can be kinda tactless
in conversation. If she thinks you are being stupid those words will leave her
mouth before hitting any sort of filter. Sometimes Patsy can have a bit of an
ego problem, in that she generally thinks she knows best 90% of the time.
Patsy loves collecting things and has become quite a lover of all things vintage,
but this leads to mini obsessions in which she will hyper focus on one thing for
a few weeks at a time and will find it difficult to engage in anything else. She
has been known to straight up not hear what someone has said to her even if
they are stood right next to her. Overall though Patsy is a very sweet and kind
girl who's protective instincts make her a great carer. She does not let the
badness of life affect her, in terms of her inner workings, what you see is
generally what you get.
Likes: Old Hollywood Movies & TV || 50s-80s Music || Cats || Rain || Winter ||
Horses || Cooking || Needlepoint || Plush Toys || Calico Critters || Sleep ||
Women || Collecting Things || People who can play instruments
Dislikes: Getting up early || Hot Weather || Passive Aggressiveness || Oranges ||
Math || Politics || Ignorance || When people ask questions they could Google ||
Cursive (Can't read or use it) || Arguments || Loud & Sudden Noises
Fears: Confined Spaces & Large Spiders, also has mild Megalophobia and Submech-
anophobia
Talents: Needlepoint & Horse Racing
Lacks: A filter, Patience with ignorance, the ability to lie

History: Patricia's mother was in many ways a victim of circumstance. She
had been born into extreme poverty and her parents had never been able
to rise out of their situation with three children to raise. Her father worked
several jobs to provide for his family, and her mother did part time jobs
whilst juggling childcare. Patricia's mother still lived with her parents when
she got pregnant unexpectedly, and they were absolutely adamant that she
could not keep the baby as they simply could not afford another mouth to
feed. Still being under their legal guardianship, Patricia's mother was forced
into giving up her child, for the only other option was being turned out onto
the street, desolate and alone without a penny to her name. She knew ultim-
ately that giving up the baby would give it the best possible chance in the
long run, and that ultimately she wouldn't be able to provide for it. This didn't
help her ease her heartache, nor could it ever erase the trauma of having her
newborn daughter taken from her arms only a week after she was born. Patricia
was named by her mother, who was absolutely insistent that her daughter
should keep the name given to her at birth. Patsy grew up in the system, never
knowing anything different to the life she was living. Though her upbringing
wasn't particularly upsetting by any means, moving from several different foster
homes as she grew gave her the distinct feeling of being unwanted. The foster
homes were nice enough, she was fed well and treated kindly, but it was always
the same story of needing to be moved on as she grew up. Though it did benefit
her in some ways, as she was exposed to quite a few different cultures and
learned quite a lot of good skills which each family she stayed with. New Hope
was the last place she was sent to, and she has been there ever since. She arrived
at 16 and has decided to stay on as an assistant now that she has technically aged
out of the system. Patsy sees herself very much as a carer, and loves living at New
Hope and helping those who are just like her. Though she is not very familiar with
the world of horses and their sports, she does very much enjoy spending time with
the animals. She will nod along politely with anyone who discusses equine jargon
with her, even if she doesn't understand a word of what they are saying. Her know-
ledge of horses does not extend beyond their care, but Patsy doesn't mind this, as
she has a strong bond with them and her own horse nonetheless. She can ride for
the most part, and enjoys pushing the limits of her mare's speed. The foster parents
have suggested that she should take up racing. Recently she has started to really
become curious about the circumstances of her birth, she was told very little
about her birth family, but she is aware she has a mother and that she was
Jewish. Patricia herself has not had a Bat mitzvah and doesn't really consider
herself Jewish other than through her mother's blood, leaning more towards
atheism in terms of religious beliefs.
Family: Mostly Unknown, she knows she has a mother
somewhere and wants to begin searching for her.
Sexuality: Lesbian
Room + Bed number: Assistant Bedroom 1
Secret Word: Read
Other:....
- Has naturally curly hair, she rarely does more than brush it and tie it back
- Really wants a black cat after being separated from one at a foster home
- Will often do more physical labour than she should, and has a bad back as
a result
- Loves the freedom of riding at high speed
- Wants to learn the piano but feels her hands are too uncoordinated
- Has never had a girlfriend and isn't sure she wants one just yet
- Has to find just the right thing to watch whilst eating
- Loves junk food and will sneak it to the younger kids sometimes
- Doesn't really like cake unless it has tonnes of icing on
- Wishes Christmas still felt the same as it did when she was younger
- Is trying to find her birth family but has no idea where to start
- Hates being called by her full name or by Pat, generally only
answers to Patsy
- Will make needlepoint designs for people she likes

Name: Natalie Horseman
Nickname(s): Nat, Pumpkin, Honeybun
Age: Roughly 5 Years
Sex: Mare
Height: 16 Hands
Breed: Thoroughbred
Discipline: Racehorse
Personality: Reserved || Gentle || Food Motivated || Well Behaved
Background: Nat was broken in as a racehorse by a fairly wealthy family that
lived a few miles from New Hope, and was ridden by the family's youngest
daughter. She won a few local titles but nothing really that affluent until her
rider fell very ill and her parents decided that the best thing to do would be
to donate Nat to the local foster home so she could still be ridden and help
out less fortunate kids. Nat was around two years old when she came to New
Hope, arriving about a week after Patricia moved in. The circumstances
seemed perfect and so Patricia was entrusted with Nat's care. Patsy learned
to ride with Nat, and as a result the two are quite closely bonded. Patsy worked
out pretty quickly that the way to get Nat to do anything was to reward her
with treats. Nat is a very gentle horse who seems to thrive under an affecti-
onate hand. She does not seem to be the most energetic horse until one gets
her up to a gallop. She does tend to shy away from any hand that isn't Patsy's,
but she listens well and is fairly high spirited around her person. The foster
parents are now trying to encourage Patsy to get Nat back on the race track,
though Patsy worries about the injury rate of racehorses and does not want to
lose Nat any earlier than she has to.

@twinny me too!!

also, so so true hshsjsjs (him just going 'oh...I gotta
go...help our parents?' each time takeo enters the
room, and scurrying away whenever possible bc he
hates confrontation 😭)

he would probably just come up with some excuse
to avoid having to answer any of takeo's insults because
he's not very good at defending himself shshhhsjdjd

like, he wouldn't let takeo say anything like that to anyone
else, but to him? he'll just take it with a smile and cry about
it later </33 (but watch out cause if he pushes him too far
he might just snap hsjhsks, insult him back or something)
