Alice noddeded and smiled slightly. She was getting to know Louis, and the more she thought about it the more she started to think of him as a friend. Alice nodded when Louis said he had ditched his friends and giggled when he said he was eighteen. "I am sixteen." Alice giggled slightly when she revealed her age. When Louis suggested going into the garden Alice smiled and nodded. She stood up and waited for Louis to take lead. She knew where to go of course but wanted him to guide her anyway. Alice snatched a glance at Louis once more then blushed.

- - - -Did she just giggle? Louis thought. The blonde's smile was beautiful, the way her eyes crinkled up, and the dimple that formed slightly, just in the corner of her mouth. Louis wasn't one to notice these little things, but tonight, he did. At that point he knew she was warming up to him. "You have a very cute laugh," Louis said to her. He couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth. He has never really been the flirty type. "I'm sixteen," She said to him, followed by another giggle. Louis wasn't really bothered by her age, it's not like he was trying to date her, or was he. Louis was having trouble sorting out his feelings. When Alice agreed to go outside, Louis smiled, and stood up. He waited for her, and then led her to the backdoor. He pulled it open, and allowed her to go first. Once she was through the door, Louis suddenly became very nervous. He tried to shake off the feeling by breathing in a little fresh air once he was also outside. "We could go sit on the lawn chairs, the stars are finally coming out," He said looking up at the sky.

Once outside Alice took a breath of fresh air, she never noticed how warm it was inside. When Louis suggested they sit on the lawn chairs Alice agreed and walked down to them. It was quiet outside compared to what it was like inside. Alice sat on one of the lawn chairs and crossed her right leg over her left. She was starting to feel self conscious of her weight so she folded her arms across her stomach. She looked up to the sky and saw several bright twinkling stars looking down on her. "This is so pretty." She muttered to herself. Alice had never had a boyfriend before so she didn't know why she was getting these feelings she didn't recognise. Alice looked at Louis and smiled once again. Louis was right, the music is better here Alice had never noticed it up until this moment, there was hardly anyone outside and the music was playing her favourite band 'We The Kings'. Alice tapped her foot in time occasionally joining in with some of the words. She knew every word of every song they ever made but she didn't like other people to hear her sing.

♛ ＬＯＵＩＳ ＬＥＶＩＮＥ ♛

- - - -Louis made his way to the lawn chairs, walking next to Alice. On their way over, Louis caught sight of his friends. They were all staring at him, and whispering amongst themselves. They were probably just shocked that he was willingly talking to a girl. Louis just ignored them, and laid down on the lawn chair next to Alice's with his arm under his head. He felt much more comfortable in this environment. However, Louis always felt awkward in a lawn chair, with the bands going across, and there wasn't even a pillow. Despite the lawn chair, the music was good, the air was fresh, and the stars gave them something to look at together. Louis glanced over at her, and noticed her foot tapping, and this time it didn't stop. He was glad she was enjoying herself. "So Alice, tell me about yourself," Louis said turning his head to face her.

Alice looked at Louis for a second then answered his question, "Well I was born in England, Yorkshire to be precise. I have never known my dad and don't want to. I then moved here because I was expelled from all the schools that were near us in England. I moved hear 3 or 4 years ago, got expelled from a school here but found another one. I have a Rottweiler named Gizmo who I should have brought here, but oh well. I like to sing and play musical instruments, but mainly sing. How about you?" Alice didn't know why she told Louis all this but it felt right to her. She felt like she could trust him. Alice carried on tapping her foot and humming to the song. She looked behind them and saw what must have been Louis friends and just rolled her eyes. Out of nowhere a brunette girl, who was very skinny and had sleek hair, walked up I to them and ruffled Louis hair. Alice clenched her fists automatically but just scowled at this girl.

- - - -Louis really listened when Alice talked, and didn't just zone out, like when he talked to most girls. He tried to make mental notes about everything she just said. He wanted to remember all these things about her. "Ooo, you're from England," Louis said, making little comments like that here, and there. "How about you?" She asked him, and that made him smile. "Well, where should I sta-" Louis didn't get to finish his sentence, because he felt a hand on his head. At first he figured it was one of his guy friends coming over to embarrass him. When Louis looked up, he saw a pretty tall brunette girl. Louis grabbed the hand that was messing up his hair, and held it for a second. "Diane, hey. I didn't know you were coming tonight," He said to her, sitting up a little. "Yeah, it was a quick decision change," She said, first looking at him, but then she slowly turned to look at Alice, and gave her a dirty look. "Who is that Lou?" Diane asked lowering her voice. "This is Alice. Alice this is Diane," Louis said looking at the two of them. Diane wasn't his girlfriend, but she was a very pretty, yet snobby girl, who went through boys quick, and right now she had her sights set on Louis. During all of this, Louis's friends were snickering watching this disaster unravel.

Alice rolled her eyes and stormed away, pushing Diane on her way. Alice barged through Louis's friends tears in her eyes. She ran through the house and out to the front. She knew a quiet area near a pond not too far from where she was. Running, Alice made her way to the pond and sat on the banking. She managed to blink back the tears and wash her face with the pond water. Alice shivered at how cold it has. Her reflection stared at her in the pond."How could I be so stupid to think Louis was interested in me." She muttered punching the damp grass. Alice laid back on the grass staring at the stars and smiled. Knowing Gizmo would be missing her she ran back to her house and brought him out on a chain. She headed back to the pond with him. Gizmo laid his head on Alice's lap as she petted him. Alice told him everything that had happened and Gizmo licked her hand. Alice laid back once more and saw a group of people approaching her, Gizmo also noticed and started to growl. Alice explained that they were ok and not to attack them.

- - - -Louis watched in horror as Alice suddenly walked off. He only stayed there long enough to hear Diane. "That was weird. Anyway-" Louis made a disgusted face, and followed Alice. As he passed through his group of friends, some patted him on the back, and others questioned why he would leave Diane. Louis disregarded their comments, and kept his eye on Alice so he wouldn't lose her. He saw he stop at the pond, and as soon as he was about to approach her, she ran off. Louis sat at a distance from the pond, he didn't know why Alice was so upset, but he knew he had to fix things. Louis didn't know if she would ever come back, but soon enough, Alice returned with her dog. Hey, that must be Gizmo, he thought. He decided that it was time to go over there, and explain what happened. Louis stood up, brushed the dirt off his pants, and walked over to her. "Listen Alice, I know you're mad, but please let me explain. Diane isn't what you think, she is not my girlfriend, and she never will be. I don't even like her that much as a friend, she's really rude. Although, you probably could tell that on your own," Louis said quickly before she could send him away. He didn't want to sit down, because he wasn't sure if Alice would even want to talk to him again.

Alice heard Louis's voice and looked up her eyes narrowed. Gizmo growled but Alice ignored him. "Sit down Louis." She said once he had finished talking. "Well you are smart for knowing I am mad but it is nothing to do with what happened there now. Diane had insulted me and my family and I punched her in the face. That's why she never went to school for over a week. She was lucky I never laid a finger on her today. Also she thinks just 'coz she is super skinny she can have a new boyfriend every day unlike me I have never had a boyfriend." That last part came as a shock to Alice she didn't mean to say that. "I know why though, I know my flaws. I know it is because of my weight and because I don't wear make up." Alice started tearing up again and blinked them back. She sat up properly and looked at Louis, she had never really taken in all of Louis's features until now. Alice believed that Louis wasn't with Diane otherwise he would have stayed with her.

- - - -Alice didn't say anything to him at first, and Gizmo growled. This made Louis very nervous. He didn't know this girl very well, but he knew that he didn't want to lose her. "Sit down Louis," She said calmly. Louis sat down next to her, and looked at her. The suspense was killing him. Alice then told him her background with Diane, and Louis finally understood. He had a feeling it wasn't about him. "Sorry to make this all about me. I had no idea about that," Louis replied. "I know why though, I know my flaws. I know it is because of my weight, and because I don't wear make up," Alice continued. Louis just laughed. "Alice, I think you are beautiful just the way you are now. I know some guys like the barbie type, but I like you," Louis said. At first he didn't really realize what he just said. He was trying to give her confidence, and towards the end, he told her he liked her. Louis tried to pretend like that was the most normal thing to say, and quickly continued. "I'm not perfect either," He said. "I mean, just look at my feet, they are weird," Louis said wiggling them around a little. He laughed at how ridiculous that sounded.
