The day was just as any other in the Commonwealth. Dark. Depressing. All that good stuff. But, in this new world, you just had to make the best of it, or die trying. A ghoul stood on his balcony, overlooking the small community of Goodneighbor. He had just finished up a speech, and was ending it. "Of the people, for the people!" He finished, and the citizens cheered back. He had a smile on his face. Out of all that had happened since the Great War, it made him proud that this community was thriving. That they stayed together, and everyone was somewhat happy. That was all he could ask for, and that was all that he wanted. It had taken a lot of work to repair the spirits of Goodneighbor, but he had managed to do it - and the community was greatful. After all, that was why he had taken on the role of mayor. To bring back this once great community. It's former leader was a horrible man. A cruel one. A man who deserved what he got. He shook his head to clear away the thought, and he rested his hands on the railing.
»Marcel and Doc»
"Doc, you piece o' junk! Get back here!" Came an annoyed groan, Marcel throwing his head back in an irritated fashion. Doc, a modified Mr. Handy, had left his companion's side to go examine the rubble of a demolished department store. "We're almost to Diamond City, we don't have time for this!" It was true. The two - a dark, shaggy haired man, fit with glasses and a bandana that he wore pulled over his face, and the Mr. Handy - were on their way to Diamond City, the Great Green Jewel of the Commonwealth. He was meeting up with the doctor to see about getting a new mod for Doc. But, the robot often times got distracted and wandered off. Their trip had spanned out over the course of a couple of days. It would have taken but a mere one day, but they often got side tracked by raiders, super mutants, and Doc's curiosity. The duo of robot and human stood out on the streets, the towering walls of Diamond City in view. "Terribly sorry, sir." Doc said apologetically, making his way back over. Marcel treated Doc like a dog, but the robot had always looked up to Marcel and believed that he owed the man for repairing him, so he was never mean to Marcel. "I thought I saw something."
