I look at Moonstar, remembering her from when I tried to join the Clan. My fur prickled with embarrassment, but I tried not to show it. I sheathed my claws and flatten my fur as to not look like a treat.

He glared at the two kittypets but remained calm. It was clear Moonstar knew one of them.
A tom named Jasper. If it wasn't for that, he would've chased them off by now. He sat down and looked at them. He didn't attack them, there was no point, they were not hostile.

"Do not speak words without a meaning, Jasper. You should be well-aware of Clan borders." MoonStar meowed, hinting towards Jaspers past in his old Clan."But, since you have helped MoonClan many times, I shall let you and your friend return to your home in peace." The leader said, flicking her tail for the two cats to leave as soon as possible.

Jasper dipped his head to the leader."Thank you, MoonStar. We will go now." He meowed to MoonStar, turning to Sun."Come on, Sun." Jasper said before bounding away towards the forest the came from.

I ignore Jasper and pad towards Moonstar. "Sorry to bother you," I say, dipping my head. "But I would like to hear about Whitepaw and Forestfire." I brace myself for the she-cat to attack me, but I don't unsheathe my claws.

The tabby turned around to see Sun speak with MoonStar. He stayed where he was, sitting down to look towards the two cats.

MoonStar
"ForestFire is doing finne, but unfourtunetly WhitePaw passed away yesterday. Her close ones are currently sitting vigil with her for the last time before we burry her at dawn." MoonStar meowed, her voice soft."That is all the news I currently bring. Now, you must excuse me. I have continue my travels." The leader said to Sun before turning around and heading back into the bushes from witch she and SandLeap came from.

I wanted to leap after her and ask how Whitepaw died, but she would have just chased me away. I let out a long sigh and shake my head before returning to Jasper. "We better go then," I say sadly and without waiting, I bound back through the ferns.

The gray medicine cat hadn't moved an inch, not even for the meeting. I won't ever get a new apprentice, Blacknose thought fiercely, though a tear trickled down his face, cutting through his mask of bravery. Not even if Forestfire has kits; no cat is worthy of taking Whitepaw's place.

The tabby followed after Sun, noticing the sadness in his voice. Still, since Sun was already quite upset, Jasper decided not to bother asking questions unless he was willing to speak of them himself.

MoonStar
MoonStar moved towards the direction of the northern border. There was a small clearing there, where MoonStar thought would be a good idea to spend some time with SandLeap.

He carried on walking with Moonstar. The sky was full of stars. He hoped they wouldn't walk into any other cats on the way, or if they did, they wouldn't be such questions like that.

At last, the two cats reached the tiny clearing. MoonStar smiled lightly to SandLeap before lying down on the clearing, gazing up at the sky. Tonight was beautiful, but also another loss for the Clan.
