Jade smiled. "Why are you so nice? All the cats I've met want to kill me or are so self centered."

Shadow shook his head, "you see, not every single clan cat only thinks of killing, killing, and killing. I don't know how did my clanmates treat you. But I don't think that there is a reason for cruelty." He said softly.

"I've only ever met one clan cat andhe attcked me..." Jade apused and looked at the setting sun. "Are you going to go back to your clan tonight... you can stay with me if you want but if you don't, you need to go." She told him.

Shadow stared at his paws, "well, I am not sure if I can. But I will try to. My parents are looking for my littermate."

Jade looked at him softly. "The dogs... and the mean cats come out at night. Its not safe to be outside." She told him. "You have to stay home if you go."

Shadow nodded, "well, I am trained to fight, so probably. I can fight them off. I am still an apprentice though." He said softly, wondering why Jade was being so nice to him. I think I have fallen for her. He thought to himself.

"No, they come in packs. If you don't wish to stay with me, please go home." She paused. "I would feel horrible if you got hurt." She said feeling some passion for the clan cat.

"Oh no. I can defend for myself. Besides, I am the son of the leaders, the punishment wont be that severe." He said, before winking at her.

"So you'll stay?" Jade asked a little more hopeful than she was going to. She blushed.
