Soul covers her head with her wing from the heat of the flames, jumping away from the pillar as she lowers her wing. Hearing the Shadow's comment, she glares at him.

"Catch me if you can," said the shadow-Draconequus, removing the fighters' wings with a snap of his claws.

Soul's eyes widen, feeling a strange itching sensation where her wings connect. Soon, she can no longer feel her wings at all.

(Hoo boy! When the griffn and hurrok are through with Discord's evil twin...)

Wolfheart felt a strange sensation at the base of her wings, and when she looked, both her wings were gone!

"Someone is going to die for this!" she snarled, ears back.

Soul growls, "agreed!" She calls back, having heard Wolfheart over the rush of flames.

[Tom Bombadil]

"We need to cripple the shadow-demon's wings," said Wolfheart. "Soul, do you have a bow and arrow, or if not, are you good at throwing knives?"


(Meanwhile, back at camp)

"What was that?" asked Discord, hearing the fire and seeing smoke. He poked Flower in the side.

"Better get up," he said, "We have trouble."

Soul nods, even though she knows Wolfheart cant see her, as she digs through her saddlebag. Finally finding her knives, she grasps the hilt with her tail. The smoke made it hard to see, but she manages to see his shadowy figure. With a well aimed flick of her tail, she sends the knife flying.
