Dapplepaw hobbled out of the medicine cat den,and was greeted with a blast of sunshine.She was tired of being bedridden.She ignored the dull ache that throbbed from her legs,and settled down beside the fresh kill pile.She snatched up a rabbit and ravenously devoured it,licking her lips when she finished,her hunger satisfied.She sent a quick prayer of thanks to Starclan before trodding out of camp to look for some water.

Duskpaw eyed his sister nervously as her tail disappeared from sight.She was still weak from the hawk attack.He considered going after her,but he knew she would just complain she wasn't a kit.But it didn't matter.He slid up a wizened old tree,and silently started leaping from branch to branch to follow Dapplepaw,her calico pelt standing out on the forest ground.
