It was the brink of morning and no one was out, so Stormpaw decided to take an early morning stroll. He walked out of the camp and around the border until one cat stopped him. Before he could yowl for help the killer flipped Stormpaw over and started to claw at his stomach. The killer ran back to camp, leaving the apprentice to die of blood lose.

Bright pool woke up in the nursery, her rounded belly was full of kits. She stretched. Everything seemed normal.

Tigerkit rolled over in his comfy nest. He yawned and opened his eyes slowly.

Bright pool padded out of the nursery and into the woods. She was going to the lake. She was looking for a bird in the sky when she tripped over something. She looked down and saw a dead cat. She screeched like 10 badgers were attacking her. She started to faint. She pushed herself against a tree to stay up. Her stomach bulged as a kit kicked. Tears stung in her eyes. " Help!" She cries but she knew nothing could help the dead cat in front of her. " Somebody!"
