Trying to get away from all the fuss, young Rosepaw race off. She found a quiet clearing underneath the willow trees by the river. She sat quietly and tried to wash the blood off her paws. Sunningrocks stank of blood and the grass had been stained red.As she reached down to dip her muzzle into the cool water, a weight crashed upon her. She was forced under the water and pinned down. As she splashed around helplessly, water entered her lungs and she began to choke, the last thing she ever saw was the sharp white claws and the evil glinting eyes of the killer before it all went black...

Moonsong pricked her ears back towards where Rosepaw had gone. She should have been back by now. Was she okay? Moonsong followed back to the stream Rosepaw had gone to, and saw a glint of silver in the river. Realizing it was Rosepaw, she dragged her out and tried to revive her, only to realize she was already dead. "no!" Moonsong cried.

Tumbletuft had begun to dig a hole, planning to bury Amberheart's body, when a second cry was heard. She shot up, cocking her ears forward with one thought; Rosepaw. "Rosepaw? Rosepaw, where are you?!" she shrieked, running as fast as her paws would carry her in the direction the yell had come from. As soon as she burst through the trees, her eyes locked onto Rosepaw's sodden body. She didn't notice Moonsong standing there; The sound of the river disappeared completely. "ROSEPAW! NO!" she shrieked, throwing herself down onto the Apprentice and sobbing uncontrollably. She had sworn to protect the Apprentice... And now she was dead. "Please... Somebody kill me... I don't want to live without Rosepaw..." she sobbed, burying her face into Rosepaw's fur and sobbing.

Dashkit heard something in the water. "What was that?" He ran to the river until he could clearly here the water rushing. He then heard the no from the other cat. "What happened?"

Tumbletuft sobbed into Rosepaw's fur, not caring that others were appearing and watching her sobbing into Rosepaw. She just wanted somebody to kill her, so she could be with Rosepaw... Was that so bad? She refused to move away from Rosepaw, ears pressed back and paws on top of her head.

Moonsong saw how distressed Tumbletuft was, and decided to help her. Quickly gathering some poppy seeds from her den, she gave them to Tumbletuft. "Here, it will help you." She mewed.

Tumbletuft didn't look up for a few minutes when Moonsong offered her poppyseeds, not wanting to move away from Rosepaw. But after a moment she realized there was nothing she could do for the dead she-cat. Unwillingly, she struggled to her paws and took the Poppy-seeds, swallowing them in one go. "T- Thanks," she sniffed before glancing back at Rosepaw and exploding into another fir of sobs.
