Moonkit started to get bored in the nursery, and decided to explore the camp. She padded around until she felt content, asking cats about what they were doing. She padded back inside the nursery and didn't noticed the cat hiding in the shadows. Moonkit settled down and closed her eyes, and the cat in the shadows darted forward and ripped her neck open with their fangs. The cat slid out with no one noticing and left Moonkit there to die of blood loss.

Thrushpaw walked out of the apprentice den. She smelled blood coming from the nursery. She poked her head in to see Moonkit's lifeless body. "No..." She whispered.
