Moonsong hummed as she made her way back to the camp. She had gone out into the forest for more marigold, as she had noticed a shortage yesterday. I should probably gather some more moss while I'm out... she thought, pausing and then heading to the stream. But as she dipped her head to the ground to gather the plant, a glint of light on fur caught her eye. It was Leafsap! Recoiling, Moonsong yowled. "N-no! Why? Why?" Her voice petered out into a sob.

[border collies.]

"Leafsap!" Ravenfeather cried when he saw the dead cat.

Reedpaw heard the cries of his clanmates and padded out of the apprentice den warily. As he saw the dead body of Leafsap, he let out a cry. "Leafsap! No!" He wailed, bounding over to the body.

Hopepaw was sprawled out in the shade of an oak tree, this sun was burning her black pelt (black attracts the heat), when she heard shrieks, jumped up and ran over to the voices. "Oh nonononononoooooo!" Hopepaw shrieked, running round in circles, stopping every few heartbeats to sharpen her face on her rock.

"Leafsap?" she squealed and began to shiver. "Leafsap is dead!" she screeched and started to panick.

Rosepetal gasped "Leafsap.. no" She murmered.

Moonsong looked up from his body. "Who would do something like this? And why?" She asked, mainly talking to herself. Her shoulders hunched as she gathered her wits about her. Looking around, she asked the surrounding cats "Did any of you see anything?"

Rosepetal shook her head sadly.
