It was a rainy night, and thunder crackled in the sky noisily. Rain pounded through the dens, making everycat grumpy as they tried to get a small wink of sleep. One cat, who could not sleep, had slinked out of the medicine cat den. Tinyfeather walked out of camp silently, and clawed his way up a tree. But once he got up there, he was hit on the head and fell to the ground with a sickening thud. Still alive though, the killer leapt down and threw him at a tree. He was killed on impact.

Spotsfang walked out of the warrior's den and saw blood.

Bluepaw woke up to a huge thud. She peered out of the den. She squinted her eyes. Was that, Tinyfeather? She ran over and saw Tinyfeather's dead body. Bluepaw yowled. "Someone killed Tinyfeather!"
